Today. What a horrible experience today was. We ordered our drinks online. Found parking, which is challenging with road construction right next door, and went inside to get the 2 drinks. 1 was ready about 5 minutes after being ordered. My friend was ignored standing at the counter patiently waiting for the other. Several people went through and got their drinks, no biggie. 20 minutes pass and someone finally acknowledged her and asked what she is waiting on. She told her. The lady went back to doing bee pollen cups, completely ignoring what she said. Another lady came over and took care of it right away. I ha e not had a bad experience with the people working here before, but today was next level rude. Very disappointed ☹️. Especially since it was her first visit and I told her how good the coffee is and how friendly the staff is. 1 year ago...Absolutely loved everything about this coffee house! I love Kona coffee. Definitely a favorite. I tried the eye opener and it was so strong and flavorful. Was not bitter in any way. They had samples of Paleo/gluten free banana bread and it was good. I like that they have more reasonably priced coffee! Parking is challenging any ware near the ocean front but my big SUV fit in the side ok. I was happy about that. They have the neatest merchandise for sale. There was limited seating, but a table opened up by the time our coffee was ready. Definitely coming back!

I stopped in today for the very first time after word-of-mouth recommendations--and I was not disappointed. Located off the Virginia Beach I 264 east expressway in the VIBE District (mere minutes from the oceanfront), this simulated Hawaiian beach shack had a cozy locals feel and the wide selection of coffee, meals, and desserts was impressive. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavorful grilled chicken in the "cilantro lime chicken" (bowl) that was a healthy, filling, and delicious lunch. On the way out, my palate was wowed by "almond mocha" (which had a predoninant blend of dark chocolate with organic almondratify nothing tasting artificial). I hadn't been to the oceanfront since early August but i tell you what...i may go more often just to drop in to Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii. Oh and i forgot to mention their colorful selection of merch. i scored me a comfortable, artistic t-shirt that I'm cutrevtly wearing.

The coffee is wonderful, and the baked goods are fantastic, but only guaranteed to actually show up if you are to go and order in person. My in person orders were wonderful, quick, and accurate. My last 4 delivery orders, though other couriers like Uber Eats and Postmates, have had minor to major missing parts (Bananna from a wrap, brownie, a salad, and the wrap itself, today).

I have no issues with an occasional missed item, and I understand that mistakes happen, but I've had missing items on each order within a two month time frame. I kept thinking that it really was a mistake, but after this fourth time, I'm convinced that it is not an "accident" but general disregard towards order validation before handing off to a courier.

This has happened with two seperate delivery companies, with different people each time. Of course, the couriers refund each time, but I'm still without items. Items are sealed in bags, and missing items are marked the same as items that exist in the bag, so I'm not sure what the internal issue is.

If the process on their side changes in how they interact with the third party delivery services, I'll consider them an option. At this time though, I will not be ordering again, as I can't depend on receiving...

We have been going to Bad Ass Coffee Co. for years. Unfortunately, we have moved away and can't enjoy it as often as we used to but anytime we are in town near the oceanfront we try to stop by and grab some refreshments before heading out. In our opinion, the coffee and other offerings are head and shoulders above Starbucks quality and are more worth the price. They have hot and cold espresso drinks along with nice specialty drinks for the non-coffee drinkers. I personally love their body bomb smoothie, not too sweet and not at all very tarty, and it actually tastes great even with the long list of ingredients it has. They have some fairly healthy food options, our favorite being their carne asada burrito with habanero sauce. Sure, it may not be Chipotle, but for some people, that might be a good thing. On a serious note, it's made to order and tastes great, not to mention that it's a well-rounded meal for a day at the beach. Only complaint would be the parking availability during peak times, especially during the summer weekends. During the other seasons, it is not too busy at all and I would say it is worth the drive even if a beach day is not...
