Halal Munchies — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

We visited Halal Munchies for the first time around 10:30 PM on a Friday night. We placed our order at the self serve kiosk in the lobby at 10:40 PM and didn't receive our food until 11:21PM about a 40 minute wait, which felt excessive. The lobby was decently packed, but everyone was just waiting for their food no one had actually received anything yet. They seemed short staffed juggling both in store and online orders. While we waited, a DoorDash driver sat for over 10-15 minutes waiting on a second order, without an insulated bag (which is on the driver, not the restaurant). The food itself was hot, affordable, and decent for the price, but not quite worth the long wait. My gyro was a bit dry since most of the sauce was tucked into the veggies, and the drink fridge was nearly empty with limited options. The place was fairly clean, which was appreciated. However, I didn't notice a public restroom, and if there isn't one available, it would be helpful if they at least offered hand sanitizer or some kind of alternative. There are a few parking spaces in the back, which is convenient. Overall, it's a decent late night bite if you're not in a rush, but be prepared for a wait especially...

Had a terrible experience today when I had to go back to the counter and requested if they could cook my kofte over rice thoroughly because the meat was pink and undercooked. The manager refused and said he wasn’t go to, when I asked him why? He said he had already made it and didn’t want to. Then he started arguing with me and insisted the food was cooked properly. When I asked him for a refund, he refused and said that I had already bit into it, so then I told him I was going to give him a 1 star and call the health department, he said “go ahead, I don’t care!” And demanded I leave his store and pulled out his cell phone and said he was going to call the police. I went online looking for a number to call the owner or somebody above him, but the establishment doesn’t have a number listed to reach anybody in charge. Where do I begin? It was lunchtime, and I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for the first time. I'm delighted that I decided to eat here, as their food is truly impressive. I ordered the burger combo meal, which included fries and a soda. The burger was remarkably tasty, and the sauce used was a nice addition. The seasonal fries were cooked just right, and the soda was nicely chilled. I was also impressed by the generous portion size of the burger and the ample serving of French fries. Additionally, the meal was very reasonably priced at just over $11. I'm already looking forward to returning for dinner tonight.
