This post is really 3.5 stars, I'll explain why. Went on a Tuesday, when they had their 40 cent wing special. Just to celebrate a family members birthday. Part of our party was already inside securing tables as they did not take reservations. We let them know at the door, they ask us again what is the name of the party and are we sure because there was no party with that name inside. We tell them the name and let them know that we are sure as we already spoke with someone who was inside and had a table. We walk in and begin looking for our party only to have the individual who was just at the front door point us to the general direction of our party. They just told us at the door our party was not here. We get to the table were a guest with our party is talking to the waitress, for us that night, informing her that more people will be coming and we will need more seats as they clear up because we have already informed the manager that there will be a group of people coming for this individuals party. The waitress right off had an attitude the customer with our party remained calm and polite. More of the party shows up we secure more tables, enough for the remaining group. Long story short our waitress had an attitude the entire night she was serving us. Never cleared the table as more orders of food and drink arrived. Rolled her eyes multiple of times and openly gave heavy sighs of irritation any time someone requested something or order something. I worked in customer service no matter how long, tiring, or hard your day has been that should not be placed on the customers at hand ever. Our entire party yes was audible loud but very respectful of our waitress and already planned before showing up to tip well, because that's just who we are. At some point in the night a table she was waiting on dine and dashed on her and she audible said to us I'm done for the night you all need to hurry up and pay. Now we understood how frustrating that situation could be and truly felt for her. Her statement was absolutely unacceptable especially directing it at her current customers who are still dining, ordering, and at some point had to clean the table ourselves as there was no more room for food coming to the table because our waitress never cleared it. We finally close out the tab and we are making sure we cover the cost of everyones food, go over it with the waitress twice and even separate her tip from the bill total which was over $300. We say we are all set correct. She tells us yes you are all set. She comes back to our table 30 mins later saying we still owed $60 we go back over our settled check we had just went over twice with her earlier because she still had it all together. We counted all of the cash out that we gave her along with the 2 credit cards that covered the last $40 twice again to show, that we paid for everything that we order. While doing that we found that we were doubled charged for an item that was closed at the bar and the individual who closed it at the bar still had the receipt. The night was filled with bad customer service and with our waitress attempting to rip us off. The food and drinks were really great with that deal and the food came out fast! I won't allow our waitress actions destroy the rating of the food. Double check your...
Read moreUnreliable shuttle service to Bears games. This isn’t a review of the food or drinks but the shuttle service. We arrived at 6pm tonight and paid $10 per person to use the shuttle. It leaves promptly at 6:15p and we make it to the stadium roughly around 7pm. The bus driver announces he will wait for us at Cullerton/Indiana half hour after the game ends. He counts us all as we leave and says he’ll see us later.
Fast forward to the end of the game. We call the driver as we leave the stadium to confirm pick up and no answer. We called three times but no answer. My party and I arrive at Cullerton/Indiana 20 minutes after the game ends and there’s no bus. We call Hawkeyes and we explain the situation, we’re put on hold. While we’re on hold, another couple comes by and asks if we were also waiting for the shuttle. We say yes and tell them we’re on the phone with the bar. We wait some more time and an additional 3 parties come by asking about the shuttle. Now we’re 13 people waiting on the corner for the shuttle bus. By the time the receptionist comes on the phone, she apologizes and says we’ll have to wait for the manager to call us back. She also offers us the drivers number, even though we told her the driver wasn’t answering us.
I have to take an Uber back to the bar. This was poor service and I am definitely not patronizing this place anymore. To have 13 people relying on this service and then fall through is disrespectful...
Read moreI arrived at this place at 6:20. Ordered an appetizer and a drink for happy hour. 30 minutes later, we had to flag down another waitress to figure out what was going on. 10 minutes after that (now 7pm) our waitress returns saying there was issues with the kitchen, but worded it as if she was trying to make up a cohesive story on the fly. At 7:10 I finally got my appetizer, more than 40 minutes after ordering. We flagged down another waitress over the drink, had another waitress walk up asking us what were the drinks ordered, and then had our waitress return for us to again remind her of the drinks. We received the drinks at 7:25 and then had to wait another 15 minutes for a check. At 7:55 I finally gave up, forwarded my friend my money, and left. Being that this establishment is surrounded by parking meters and is in a location where police presence is heavy, it is absolutely ridiculous for the length of time of service. Sure, there are call offs, slow days, etc. but make that known so in cases like these, people know to go extend their meters or at least have an idea of whats taking so long with their food. Luckily for me, I didn't get a parking ticket, but you guys seriously need to either retrain your staff or pay closer attention to how long it takes for service to be administered. I left hungrier than I came. I wouldn't recommend this place nor will I...
