Extremely rude staff, let me explain this horrible situation that happened to me on what is supposed to be the day you celebrate love. Valentines day!!!! I called them a month in advance because that was the earliest that you can make reservation for Valentine's day, the woman on the phone stated that I was the first person to make reservations, which is amazing due to me really wanting to go there because my wife said she wants to. So I made reservations for Fabuary 14th at 830pm due to my work schedule. So the day came my wife and I got ready ordered uber lux which was around 100$ one way, on the way there I called them to make sure everything is ok. When the woman answered the phone I told her I have reservations for 830, this is where the night went to hell. She told me it was made for 8 and they gave the table away and the wait now is 2.5 hours. Besides this she couldn't even find my reservations at first not by my name or my last name, she found it by my phone number. Like WHAT, then she told me that I'm wrong but for me to come in and she will try her best to get us a table. When we arrived and came up to her, she acted like I was dumb and didn't know and didn't make reservations for 830. She gave us the worst attitude and acted like she did NOT care what's so ever. I was super nice to her and she just acted like who cares about it. I've never been treated like this and shown this much nasty attitude, it's not my fault you had to work on Valentine's Day and probably you are a single lonely person that no one cares for or loves. All in all she did NOT get us a table and the first Valentine's day with my amazing wife was ruined by this red headed horrible person lady. I will never be back there and I will most defiantly make sure that non of my friends go there and give them business due to this experience. I can't even begin to express how miserable I felt, we just got married and this was supposed to be our first Valentine's day as married couple which didn't happen due to this red headed miserable thing at front desk. I hope this get to her and to the owners and they understand what and how we were treated. P.S. why in the the world would I male reservations a month in advance and miss it,...
Read moreI regret not trying this place sooner because after dinner last night, I would say this is definitely in my top five favorite Italian restaurants in LA list. It’s in a really busy and fun part of town. This part of West Hollywood is not as busy as the North end so parking isn’t as bad but it’s still difficult at certain times. We were able to find a metered street spot right out front, but we were just lucky with the timing. Otherwise it will be $15 for valet. I especially love how the inside is designed. It has a classy 1920s feel to it and I especially love how dark it is inside, and how each table has its own lighting. It really adds to the mood. They also have a very large and busy bar that had every seat taken during our entire meal. Our server was very polite and all of our items came out quickly after placing the order.
They have a fairly large menu with a lot of great options on it. The hardest part for me was narrowing down which ones I wanted to order because there were so many that I wanted to get. I started off with the Whipped Ricotta and thought it was fantastic. It’s a really sweet and cheesy start to the meal. Next was the Fried Artichokes and honestly they were some of the best that I’ve ever had. First off, you can eat the entire thing and secondly, the flavors were just terrific. Next came the Steak Tartare and I thought it was wonderful. The black truffle really adds to the flavor and I especially loved the quail egg. For our entrées, we chose the Butternut Squash Tortellini and the Lamb Ragu Cavatelli. Both were good sized portions and were cooked perfectly. The flavors were just very rich and we enjoyed every bite. They did have some good dessert options but by this time of meal, we were just too full.
Overall one of my favorite Italian restaurants in all of Los Angeles. I definitely would recommend to anyone for any occasion, and I plan to be back...
Read moreFood is always great there and love the ambiance. First time since Covid that I decided to go...sadly the female at door created more of a situation than needed to be. One of her regulars without a rez was told to sit in the rear patio(normally for staff) and she would try to accommodate her. Sadly this same woman would not once even have any eye contact from that point on w the regular. Another woman w a suit on was very nice and asked if drinks were desired while waiting. From that point on..customer was NEVER told there is no chance of getting a table in the front area whatsoever nor suggesting maybe to order, let alone provide a menu to peruse. Needless to say....the woman, whom was seating customers and continued to come to back and bring others awaiting tables to the front had to be interrupted ..NEVER acknowledging the regular. Finally after saying excuse me..she finally looked but sadly the frustration and tempers had already been a brewing and the Cecconi regular lost her cool. It never should have happened and all the staff would have had to say is we are so sorry but tonight we absolutely can not accommodate you instead of ignoring the regular. Mind you nothing but offers for wine refills for 1 hour and half!! So after calming the situation food was ordered. Sadly the woman that works there had not a clue on how to de-escalate the situation or possibly not even have such an ordeal in the 1st place. It did in fact make others uncomfortable and the word Karen started to be spewed. Sadly Cecconi's employee was instrumental in creating the disturbance and could have been handled much better. Hopefully I will never have to experience such insensitive customer service there again..a first and...
