I got here at 8:35a, took 20 mins until I got my order. I enjoy their drinks and the staff is nice to me, but the queue really is a make or break deal for me. I work in the area, and while there are other coffee joints, they don't slap as well as CG does, in my humble opinion.
There's a big tourist crowd in this Design District, so it attracts that, also you're surrounded by the wealthy locals, who have kids, who happened to also love CG (lol). And since its right in front of PDC, the "ample" parking is enticing for anyone driving. I don't drive, I take the bus and drops me off very close by. That's why its ideal for me to grab before I head to work.
As I'm writing this, its now 8:50a, and I'm just one person behind now. My shift starts at 9a. You can decide if the wait is worth it. I guess it is for me if I have the time to spare lol. The twin tonic is my new obsession, and the pistachio...
Read moreIt’s finally here! A Community Goods outpost for all those working in the PDC (Pacific Design Center) or for all those walking by, or let’s be real driving by (it is Los Angeles after all) clogging up a pick up zone, double parking and causing congestion. Having a delicious oat Cortado - this inspired outpost is convenient for those in the PDC and a great drop by if you are passing thru the area.
With covered seating around the outpost; it offers a welcoming nature and a breezy space to catch up with friends, colleagues and tourists.
Excited to have you closer in the neighborhood and looking forward to many more perky...

The line moves slowly but once you’ve ordered you get your drink in less than 5 minutes which is good. Now, is it worth 45 minutes to get a matcha latte or lemonade. I wouldn’t say so but I was pleasantly surprised but both drinks were delicious. The matcha was very smooth and sweet to drink and the lemonade which they make in house is very fresh and crisp. Yes you can get these drinks at other places with much smaller lines but it was worth doing it at least once. Go with some friends on a chill afternoon to keep you company in the line. Supposedly some celebrities hit this spot to get their drinks but I doubt they’re waiting in 45min...
