We just stumbled upon this cafe and wanted to take Coffee Luwak for friends back home. It was ground fresh right in front of us and the prices were far lesser compared to most other shops. Since it was the last evening of our trip, we were out of VND / local currency and the shop didn't accept cards. Seeing our helplessness, the owner called couple of his neighboring shops to see if someone would let us swipe our card and pay for the coffee. Finally one of his neighbors agreed to help and we were taken next door to pay by our card. Most places in Hanoi charge 3-5% for credit card swipes...and our coffee shop owner said he is going to waive it off and take that charge on himself. The barista was the most accommodating person I’ve met in my trip to Hanoi. Didn’t really feel like having coffee until my sister stopped us in this cafe shop. Nevertheless it was so worth it because I wouldn’t have tried the best coffee I’ve had so far. I had the cheese coffee and it was definitely worth it, as the cheese blends well with the coffee and it melts in your mouth. I would recommend...
