We visited this place over the weekend when the street turns into a walking-only zone with no motorbikes allowed, which felt like a pretty authentic way to experience Vietnamese nightlife. We arrived right around peak dinner time, and the first floor was packed and very crowded, so we were directed to the second floor, which had air conditioning and fans, and definitely helpful given the summer heat.
The menu was fairly typical for a nem nướng (grilled pork sausage) spot. Our food arrived in under 10 minutes. The dipping sauce was a bit stronger in flavor than I personally prefer, but overall it was still fine.
One thing to note is that movement inside is quite limited for both customers and staff as it can feel a bit cramped. While the prices for the main dishes were reasonable, I found the drinks to be slightly overpriced. That said, the staff and owner had a good attitude and seemed friendly. I also noticed they were quite patient when assisting foreign customers, even using translation apps to...

It was also hard to get the waiter’s attention — we tried waving, signaling, even raising our hands like crazy, but it felt like we were being ignored.
There was definitely a language barrier. We didn’t know how to properly call the waiter — if you’re visiting and don’t speak Vietnamese, learn to say “Em ơi” (that’s how locals politely call the staff). It’ll save you a lot of time and confusion, especially when it gets busy.
But let me tell you — the food is REALLY good. Like, really really good. The spring rolls are so fresh and healthy, I don’t even know how to describe them — just come and eat them. Totally worth trying.
The experience was a bit frustrating at first, but if you come prepared (and patient), it’s worth it for the food. Just try to order as clearly as you...
Read moreOn this street, you have stall assistants waving around menus. What drew me here was that I saw the colourful platter on several tables and I just knew that I had to try it. Get the spring roll platter (45K VND). If you're not familiar with this dish, what you can do is to get a piece of rice paper. Then as a base, add the larger vegetables, and then proceed to add a little of each item from the platter. Finally, you wrap everything up nice and tight, and dip it into the sauce provided. I pretty much enjoyed this very much because the vegetables were fresh and provided a nice contrast to the savoury meat patty. You can also get a mushroom and barley porridge (25K) which was pretty tasty. If you're looking for something with an insane cheese pull, go for the chicken cheese ball (45K VND for 5 pieces). Do be careful when biting in as it was...
