The Banhmi — Restaurant in Hà Nội

Come for the food and atmosphere, great vibes from the chill jazz and lounge music. Tried the avocado salad and 3 different banh mi’s. Their shrimp cheese one was the least favorite because of how thick and creamy the cheese and sauce was which masked many potential flavors. The oyster mushroom was the best for flavor and texture balance, and the beef and cheese was tasty and hearty enough. We dined in, but it took 12 minutes to place an order, another 20 or so for food to arrive, and our drinks never came, nor were we offered water when the server said near the end of the meal that our drinks were just not going to come (coffee and a juice). Only 3 staff during Tet week, it was stressful to see the whole place packed and either waiting in line to order, pay, or not be eating. We got a few dismissive waves from staff when needing something, and the drink service just rubbed me the wrong way. I’d give them another chance for service and attitude...

Truly Wonderful  Dinning Experience From the moment we walked in, everything about this restaurant exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with thoughtful décor and a relaxing ambiance. The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional — making us feel right at home. As for the food — absolutely delicious! Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and that the chef takes real pride in their craft. Love this boutique cafe with so many options for all dietary needs. My second visit within 3 days & will go again. One if my top 3 places & I'm pescetarian. Had mushroom pate banh mi, blueberry drink and avocado salad first trip. Second visit: tofu, avocado & added 2 eggs requested pepper sauce, tuna salad & mango tea drink. OH...the bread to die for. The menu is RIDICULOUS & pretty sure they'd modify to your request if possible. Staff exceptional. Wish I'd found this gem sooner. JUST GO!!! Ok...for 3rd visit had veggie curry noodles;forgot to take picture but very flavorful. Also the fried tofu with passion fruit sauce...like desert and so worth trying. Drink:blueocean soda.
