Disclaimer: Not a review of the bar, but of some of the facers employed by this bar. I have never been to the actual bar which might be a blast. This review is strictly to related to the facers of this bar. I have met a couple of annoying facers here in Hoi An, they might ask you twice even though you say no. Not a big deal, you get somewhat used to it. But these last couple of days i have been faced by worse facers from Cowboy bar. In one case the guy asked us if we wanted a beer, which we kindly declined. He continued asking to which we said no and moved along. He then proceeded to follow us looking disgustingly at us for some time, not two or three steps, like a good 20 meters or so, adding an offend OMG as we escaped in the crowd. This happend on the other part of town (compared to where i could find the bar on Maps afterwards) so not in front of the actual bar. I'm not here to be a Karen or tell anyone how to do business. I just would not like my brand to be associated with that kind of behaviour to strangers, let alone people you consider customers. I think it sends the wrong message, especially when you consider how good reviews this bar has on Google Maps already. These ratings are often what gets people to your bar. I just hopes this reaches the owners so that they might evaluate their...
Read moreThe cowboy is the best bar I've been to in my life!! My partner and I came here every night of our stay and were blessed with a wonderfully unique experience each time. The staff are so kind and know how to party with anyone to make them feel at home. Their english is mind blowing, their hospitality is heart warming and their long island ice tea is the best brew you could drink, one is enough and 10 leaves you wanting more. An incredible night dancing with other tourists and staff (if APT comes on, dance with Bel) introduced us to the cowboy bar and we fell in love with the smoothest yet strongest long Island ice tea! The following night they blessed our whole family with such a special and uniting experience, people from so many walks of life came sharing stories and celebration, the bar stayed open 3 hours after closing time just to allow us to continue such a spiritual night! On our last night they invited us to their staff party and we all laughed a long island loooooong night away. I made great memories but I truly hope the cowboy staff would agree that we mage greater friends in our time at the cowboy bar. Next time I come to Hoi An I hope our wedding reception is at...
Read moreTucked away in Hoi An’s quieter streets, Cowboy Hoi An is one of those unexpected gems that leaves a lasting impression. From the quirky Wild West decor to the friendly energy, it’s clear this place isn’t trying to be ultra-traditional — and that’s kind of the point.
The menu is a fusion of Tex-Mex, BBQ, and Vietnamese comfort — and it actually works. The ribs were tender, smoky, and full of flavour, with generous portions that definitely deliver on value. The homemade sauces deserve a shout too. Drinks are reasonably priced, and they even had some decent cocktails if you’re in the mood.
What really sets Cowboy apart, though, is the vibe. It’s not just a place to eat — it’s an experience. The owner (a real character) often mingles with guests, and the live music gives it that relaxed, anything-goes atmosphere.
If you’re after something a little offbeat but still good food and good energy, Cowboy Hoi An is worth checking out. Not your typical Vietnamese stop — and that’s...
