Who in the Hell books the bands? That person needs to be fired for not vetting the bands beforehand. I don't know how any of the businesses can do business when they can't hear their customers. This was a complete waste of time after searching for PAID parking for over 20 minutes.
All of your vendors looked completely miserable having to listen to this buffoon scream into the microphone.
Is this a family market? Didn't feel like it.
My family will NEVER come back to this market after what we experienced today.
Customer Service? Most vendors are staring at their phones when you walk through the SHED. There are a few friendly faces but you will mostly see the top of their heads looking down at their phones. How can you run businesses like that?
Who is the market manager? They are doing a horrible job at running this market. Who is the property manager? Clean up your market and do better for your vendors and customers who are bringing kids to the market. What a disappointment and disgrace to what the Dallas Farmer's Market used to be. My family comes here every weekend and has for years. This market has gone completely down the drain over the last year. If I could have given zero stars I would. What a waste!
Update... went through and left individual reviews for the business (that are registered on Google) that we have stopped by and purchased from. There are some really good vendors at the Farmers Market. My family will not be coming back due to what we experienced. If you're the owner, you need to hire better people to run your market. A lot of these business depend on this market and your bad decisions affect their businesses.
One last update..... The owner stated that they only have bands on the main stage 2 times a year... Well that's bending the truth (lying). My family is up there every weekend purchasing goods from vendors. You have had bands on that stage a lot this year and it's annoying. Speak with your market manager before you post a lie. We also witnessed a church choir get kicked off the stage. We saw them rehearsing so we decided to sit and watch, then all of a sudden a guy with a beard and a lady approach the stage and kick all the kids off. Why? If the bands are vetted, you knew what they were going to sing about. That's why we stayed. As soon as we saw this, it put a awful feeling in my stomach. Shame on you for doing that, those kids were excited to sing to the market. I hope everyone in that church avoids this place.
Stopped by again 8/30/25.. This market has gotten even worse. I sent an email to the market regarding inappropriate vendor behavior and don't see anything being done. A lot of bad attitudes from vendors. More reviews have been left in regards to...
Read moreTook my elderly parents & family a few weeks back for what we thought might be a fun day. We had nothing but obstacles and pestering while there in the outside area. To begin, all handicap parking was taken with and without handicap tags. We were told most spots are taken by the sellers, particularly told the bread lady doesn't move her car until she's fully unloaded( the white van had no handicap tags on it). I was told to talk to a guy who runs your outside area, as they pointed him out to me. He stated, "nothing I can do, it's the city"and walked off. The guy seemed overwhelmed and defensive. FYI, I called the city and was told the area is private property. This fact of dishonesty is what has prompted me to leave this review. I decided to just drop off my parents alongside the street so they could sit down at the outdoor tables while I parked, however, we were unable to walk through due to food trailers and big trucks attached blocking any ability. If I remember correctly there were three, one after another that made it difficult to manuever a wheelchair around. This should be addressed to not close out those with disabilities.
When we finally situated and parked we walked around your outdoor area. Just stepping in comments were made to lure us in for samples. For example a guy yelled out, you look like somebody who needs to cut carbs, WHAT?! He then said I make diabetic friendly items, I thought maybe your mom would be interested. That's offensive!
Guys in the back selling cookies yells out, "want to try the best cookies?" We said no thanks, however, proceeds to lean out and puts a piece in my daughter's hand. I said we were not interested and he expressed as if he was offended. My advice would be do a better job of who you hire and train them on being honest and think about customer relations for them to be more helpful and accommodating. Do a better job of who allow to sell and how, obnoxious sales tactics don't work...
Read moreI was constantly Harassed by security I had to leave and Management for sitting and minding my own Business as a Black Professional. Never have I experienced some like this before in my life. I am a well sought after entrepreneur. The manger never followed through on her word, where is your Integrity. As a Manager who supposedly runs The Dallas Farmers Market? Instead of sending security to me each time in an unprofessional manor you should have been spending some time being productive training your staff. On how to communicate and build great relationships with community. I believe this was over not purchasing enough but I spend my money where the worth is . Just locating to Texas’s seeking other Business Locations here. Yes I would eat from Home or upscale Vegan Restaurants that the Farmers Market Don’t cater to. Prior to visiting The couple of places I tried was horrible and processed food. I eat fresh clean vegan and organic style meals . I would spend much time in north Texas to wrapping up business deals. This Farmers Market was good for me making my their and convenient Downtown. This place not only offers racist and prejudice acts but the selection here is very dated. Food and clothes. I look forward to continuing my Bless journey and Building Empires throughout Texes. You all need to do better. I can say I am warmly welcomed up north, Uptown., Bishop Arts who has great food options and...
