Früher Vogel sieht die Kathedrale (und Glorya hat recht behalten)

Der Place de la Cathédrale ist das Herz von Straßburg – und wie es sich für ein Herz gehört, pulsiert er. Zu bestimmten Zeiten ruhig und erhaben – zu anderen wie ein internationales Sprachgewirr mit Selfiestick-Begleitung.

Glorya – meine 11 cm große Giraffe mit Glitzeraugen, einem ausgezeichneten Zeitgefühl und einem wachen Blick für Menschenströme – und ich waren zu verschiedenen Tageszeiten dort.

Am Morgen: Stille. Goldene Sonne auf dem Sandstein. Die Kathedrale ganz für sich. Ein Ort zum Staunen, Atmen, Fotografieren. Glorya saß auf einem Poller, sah zur Rosette hoch und flüsterte: „So groß, so still – wie eine schlafende Königin.“

Nur wenige Stunden später: Ein touristisches Zentrum im vollen Betrieb. Reisegruppen aus aller Welt, Sprachen durcheinander, Fähnchen in der Luft, und Guides mit Flüstermikrofonen und fester Route. Nicht weniger spannend – aber ganz anders.

Fazit: Der Place de la Cathédrale ist ein Muss in Straßburg – aber wer die Magie sucht, sollte früh aufstehen. Denn am Morgen gehört der Platz der Architektur, dem Licht – und einem selbst. Glorya wusste das...
