We had such a great experience shopping at Ekeko’s in Cusco! We found a beautiful hand-painted Peruvian bull made of ceramic/clay—such a special souvenir. Since it was too big to ship back to the U.S., Josy (who was absolutely wonderful!) went above and beyond to carefully wrap it for us. She used plenty of wrapping paper and bubble wrap, making sure it would travel safely. Truly amazing artwork. Family owned with a network of other artists. An associate or owner named Jefferson had an amazing amount of knowledge. I found exactly what I was looking for but it had a ding on it. Jefferson having craftsmanship skills himself and all the tools, fixed it up and packaged it for me for travel. Great little shop. Lovely options from the alpaca scarves you see everywhere to gloves and useful wide-brimmed hats. Then step to the back and find some lovely handcrafted items that will make great holiday gifts. And then upstairs you have a nice little cafe.
