I visited the Museum of Illusions at the Mall of America and had a pretty fun time! It's definitely one of those places where your camera is your best friend—there are tons of cool photo ops and optical illusions that will make you laugh and scratch your head. Some of the illusions are things you've probably seen online, so if you're someone who spends a lot of time on TikTok or Instagram, it might not feel super new. Still, seeing them in person is a different experience and definitely more engaging. It wasn’t too busy when I went, which was actually great because I had the chance to take my time, enjoy the exhibits, and not feel rushed. That said, I do wish there was a bit more to do. The space isn’t very big, and it took less than an hour to go through everything. For the price, I expected a few more interactive elements or unique illusions. Overall, I’d recommend it if you're already at the Mall of America and want to do something a little different—especially with friends or family. It’s a good spot to laugh, take creative pictures, and see some reality-bending visuals. Just go in knowing it’s a short experience and maybe plan something else afterward to make the most of your day!

It's a great family activity at the mall. We spent 2+ hours having fun with the illusions but it can be completed in less than 35 mins but you might not take a close look to all what the museum has to offer. The staff is amazing and they help take pictures! They have lockers and I loved the Illusion Room at the end. I am sure we'll return because 2 hours was not enough to do the escape puzzle at the exit. We enjoyed this museum a lot. Some side effects: lots of fun and cool memories. I preferred this than roller coasters. But for people that are sensory/sensitive or might get vertigo symptoms, you might want to take your time and listen to your body, be gentle. Some illusions can have flashing lights when you are taking videos, so if you're sensitive to flashing lights be mindful of this. Some of the illusions could give you headache/ stomachache but not too bad.

The Museum of Illusions in the Mall of America was a pretty cool and interesting experience to check out. Some of the illusion exhibits featured here were really great and mind blowing and just plain fun. The amount of great photo opportunities to take on your walk through the museum was substantial as well. However, many of the illusions were pretty lame. Many of them looked really cool if you are the one looking at the person doing it, but if you go alone it is completely useless. You have to go into the exhibit, have someone take a picture, then you can see for yourself how it actually looks. Also, the $25 admission wasn't worth it for how small it is. Plus it was super crowded and had to constantly wait behind many others for your chance.

Great for a first date or 1000th date. Great with the kids, your friends, or parents. Really it's just great. Is it interactive? Yes! Can you take your time? Yes! Can you have a self guided experience? Yes( just ask for space, it's fine)! Can you go back through? Yes, it seems common to run through quickly the first time. To get the full experience, just go back through again, it's allowed and well worth it! This is an interactive experience that combines science, psychology and art. Expect crowds on the weekends. Visit during the week for a quieter experience. Expect crowds and interaction because it's the Mall of America (duh).
