Our family stayed here 2 nights Fri-Sun. We didn’t check in until almost 12:50 am, I called the hotel to inform them of our late arrival. They lock the door after dark, but no one told me, so I had to wait out in the cold for the door to be opened while the sign at the front desk said they were helping another guest. After finally checking in, we got to our room shortly before 1:00 am only to find out keys weren’t activated. I had to go back down to the front desk to have them activated. Mark at the front desk did call our room to make sure we made it in. My kids hit the shower at 1:20 am, only to find the tub did not drain properly, ugggg! I didn’t bother notifying maintenance because it was so late and my kids needed to get to bed. Our room was also extremely hot! The heat was on high, so I had to turn the AC on to try and cool it off. We ran the AC the entire time on high and our room never got below 77. It was hot! However, the beds were extremely comfortable. The room was clean, with the exception of the bathroom having another guests hair all over it, the tile grout being dirty, and the tub draining too slow (room 432). Lastly, breakfast says it’s open until 10:00 am. On Sunday when we were checking out our family headed to breakfast at 9:35. When we arrived there were no eggs or meat prepared, just empty dishes. We waited to see if more would be brought out because there were quite a few guests walking in to eat and then leaving when they saw it was empty. Finally at 9:50 I went to the front desk to inform the manager that no hot food had been brought out the entire time we’d been down there and to confirm flag breakfast truly is served until 10 am. The manger confirmed that breakfast was still being served and she went to tell the kitchen to make more food. They did, but it was brought out right at 10:00 am. At 10:05 the kitchen staff started cleaning everything up and even turned away a group of boys that walked in for breakfast at 10:11 am. The employee said we stopped serving breakfast 11 min ago. When the boys started walking away, I said there’s eggs and sausage you can eat. So they had some but no juice because the machine had already been turned off. When assistance was needed the employees were friendly and helpful. The hotel was a good deal because I used rewards to pay for it. However, I would think twice about staying here with my family simply because of the unreliability if the breakfast service and the cleanliness of...
Read moreI initially gave this hotel a 4 star review. I'm amending it because, days after I checked out, the hotel started charging amounts to my credit card. There were 3 charges, for $10, for $3.23 & one for just under $300, in addition to the almost $650 I paid for the room and $3.25 I paid for a gatorade. Now the $10 charge is gone & the $3.23 charge is for what I'm told is parking. I was never told there was a charge for parking. I'm not mad about the $3, I'm upset because I was never told about this charge and it randomly appeared 3 days after I checked out. I had to call the hotel and they say they have no record of the $293.11 they charged my card the day after I checked out. They also have no idea when the reversal may go through. This is too much hassle, and I'll stay someplace else in the future.
Pluses: I really like Fairfield Inns because they have incredibly comfortable beds & pillows. This location did not disappoint. I have a surgically repaired spine, and if my back aches from a bad bed, my day is ruined. I have not found a hotel, even a luxury one, with a more comfortable bed than the ones at Fairfield Inn. The room and the hotel in general were clean, but we did find a soda bottle on the floor hidden behind the drape. Housekeeping should have caught that. Otherwise, the housekeeping staff was attentive. I didn't use the pool, but it looked nice. The continental breakfast was good but limited. Eggs & sausage were the only hot items available. My niece wished it had a Belgian waffle station like most do.
Negatives: It has a very unattractive blue roof that makes it look somewhat cheap. There is only one inconvenient entrance/exit with a very poorly marked concrete bumper. Also, the hotel is directly under the flight path for a takeoff runway, like the runway is across the street kind of close. I saw one plane flying frighteningly low above the hotel. It's extremely loud in the parking lot. However, I didn't hear any plane or neighbor room noise in my room. The hotel must be incredibly well insulated. Also, they don't have ice machines on every floor. The shower curtain was so long I almost slipped on it in the shower. After I left, I was charged an additional amount for parking which was never mentioned during my stay. I was not given a receipt. They only clean the room every other day. I was handed a stack of fresh towels at the front desk and has to deliver them to my room myself. The tv was small and did...
Read moreThis is my first time staying at a Marriott property. We have a large group of friends and family reserved here so my daughter I decided to stay as well. Upon arrival I knew this would not have been my pick just based on the size of hotel, the amount of people staying at the hotel, in addition to the outdated lobby area and rooms. The first night of our stay, we heard two men aggressively arguing loudly right outside of our door. My 11 year old daughter was terrified. Also, our toilet stopped working. I contacted the front desk to alert the staff about the men in the hall as well as the issue with my toilet. Based on the reply of the associate, he was aware of the issue with the men as I’m sure I’m not the only one that expressed concern. The associate said he would be up with a plunger for the toilet issue. When he arrived, he handed the plunger to me and said if the plunger didn’t work, he would switch us to another room. I could not believe that I was paying almost $500 to stay somewhere where I had to try to service my own problem. I truly couldn’t believe it. Of course we had to switch rooms at 11pm at night. When we arrived to the new room, I couldn’t get the heat to work properly, there was a visible stain on my blanket, and you can hear every inch of noise in the common areas from inside the room. I refused to report these issues because I thought maybe I would be provided a tool box for the heater, and a blanket to remake my bed. My daughter who loves to swim refused to get inside of the pool because the amount of chlorine used in the pool was overwhelming it burned your eyes. Housekeeping services are not provided until the 3rd night of your stay. The free breakfast was decent. The location is great and there is a free shuttle provided to and from the mall and airport which is convenient. I am both a Hilton Honors member and a new Bonvoy member. As an avid traveler, by far this was the absolute worst experience I think I’ve ever had. The only reason I didn’t pack up my belongings and checkin to another hotel is because we have a lot of friends and family in the same hotel. But I check out today and can’t wait to leave. The only plus side to this place is the manager Kathy who I met the first night while checking in. She was super friendly...
