We had a great time at Great Big Game Show with our couples group of 6 + a family of 4 that booked our same timeslot. Having the strangers join us, while it wasn't what we plan, turned out fun! GBGS is really new and because of that I'm going to give a little constructive criticism that may or may not be helpful to them moving forward - I would say that the host we had was AWESOME at their job - they should get a raise. Faith was super cool. From purely an overall perspective, I would honestly say that we felt like having an actual hames host wasn't necessary and if it has been a private booking with just our friends (no strangers) I would have probably opted for no games host stranger in the room. Again, there was nothign against Faith - we absolutely loved her! We just also own an entertainment business and thought that we didn't reach our full "entertained" capacity since a stranger was in the room with us, as upposed to the escape rooms where we can be fully ourselves and let loose, we didn't feel that we could do that in this case. Again, Faith was awesome and should get a raise, she was super fun, just our purely analytical opinion. Additionally, I personally didn't love that there were games that were solely focused on luck. That's not to say they weren't fun, I just didn't expect luck to be a solid half of the games. With that said, if the luck games stick around, having a luck-based game be first would probably have been better to start the evening off because then whatever team starts off losing won't cary the feeling that their skill won't get them through the game (can you tell I'm bitter and that my team lost?) It was a super fun experience overall, I would come back again even if those changes weren't made, and I do recommend going! I'd like to come back as a family outing with my kids (ages 5-19). It was definitely good for the...

If you're looking for high-energy fun, endless laughs, and a nostalgic trip through TV game show history The Big Game Show at Mall of America is an absolute must-do experience! Whether you're a die-hard fan of classic television games or someone just looking for a unique group activity, this event truly delivers on all fronts.
Right from the start, the energy in the room was electric and that was in large part thanks to our unforgettable game host, Rynn. From the moment Rynn stepped on stage, they had the entire crowd fully engaged, cheering, clapping, laughing, and diving headfirst into the friendly competition. The charisma, wit, and enthusiasm Rynn brought to every round made it feel like we were actually on a live TV set. So here’s a massive shoutout to Rynn you made the day feel magical and unforgettable! You’re a superstar!
The show itself is a whirlwind tour of beloved game shows from both the past and present. One moment we were solving puzzles like we were on Wheel of Fortune, and the next we were buzzing in for trivia like contestants on Jeopardy! There were clever modern twists on shows like Family Feud, The Price Is Right, Deal or No Deal, and even some surprises inspired by reality competition formats like Survivor and Minute to Win It. The variety kept things fresh and fast-paced, and the creative production value made each game...
Read moreOur group of escape room veterans (including The Escape Game located next to this venue at the Mall of America) found this format also appealed to us. While we generally preferred our experiences at Game Show Battle Rooms, we very much enjoyed this as a stand alone event. Definitely a fun time. The wonderful staff who registered our booking (alongside our latest excursion into The Escape Game) was particularly superb, while our host also did a fine job in the arena itself, running the whole thing solo. While all the games were trivia based (unsurprising given the theme we had booked), there was nice variety in how each round played and scored. We had a blast. And while this is a somewhat spendy activity, with a large enough group to fill the available slots, it feels totally worth it. At least as a one-time event. On that point, it is worth noting you may be matched with other people who could book any of the open slots on your experience. We did not have that issue ourselves, but it is worth noting. One final detail that definitely shines through is the folks who run this experience really do care that you have a damn good time. So make that...
