Day 2 of My Road Trip in the U.S.: Minneapolis

This was such an incredible experience! My friend flew in from Arkansas to Minnesota, and we spent the day at the Mall of America. FlyOver America was the one activity I knew we absolutely had to do—and it exceeded all our expectations! We had CBD gummies beforehand (highly recommend 😂), which made it feel even more like we were truly flying! The wait time was surprisingly short, especially considering it was the holiday season, and the mall was packed. If you have visitors from out of town, this is a must-do! It was the highlight of our day at MOA. Through January 2, 2025, FlyOver America transforms into a magical winter wonderland for the holiday season. Guests get to help Santa search for his missing elves during an exhilarating flight across America and onto the North Pole. This festive experience takes your holiday traditions to new heights! Holiday visitors will sit in a suspended chair, feet dangling, in front of a massive, four-story spherical screen. Special effects like wind, mist, and scents, combined with the chair's motion, make it feel like you’re soaring alongside Santa. It was truly magical! If you’re visiting Minnesota, FlyOver America should definitely be on your must-do list. The attraction is easy to find, simple to navigate, and worth every penny. Our ride lasted 20 minutes and was worth every second. Highly recommend for fabulous entertainment! Great gift date night idea! Pair it with going to eat at Cedar and Stone for a delicious meal and cocktails!! They also rent it out for business events team building and employee appreciation days! 5 stars!

If you are in Minneapolis and visiting the Mall of America, you got to be at this place! We have been here twice and this place will never cease to amaze us even if we are going to visit this 10 more times. The check in process is quite simple at the front desk and make sure to look for online discount coupons. The staff direct people well inside the premises and are very helpful. Coming to the experience, it is SURREAL! Nothing like I have ever experienced before. It’s a fairly 10 minute simulated flying experience over some of the famous landmarks and landscapes of the USA and ends at outside of the earth. The fantastic background music just ups the entire feel of the whole experience! The best part is the mist u feel on your face as you fly over water bodies and the sweet fragrance as you fly over some prairies. The fighter jets that fly in tandem provide an unbelievable view.

This was a bit pricey but an amazing experience that I highly recommend. We got the dual Flyover Canada and Flyover America tickets and ordered ahead of time to take advantage of a 10% discount. With the dual tickets, you just keep your seat after the Canada experience and then get the America tour. It really did feel like you were flying around on a helicopter but with an unobstructed view. I couldn't smell the pine and the other scents, but I could feel the mist flying through the clouds and did get a little motion sick at one point in time. I can see how it might get pretty busy on the weekend. We went on a Friday right after it opened at 11 and didn't have a substantial wait.

This was our first time at Mall of America. We did FlyOver America (Hawaii). It simulates you soaring over the islands and more. I don't want to spoil it for future visitors, but it was very realistic. It's a short show (maybe 10 minutes), but was more than enough for me. If you have a fear of heights or doing something similar to hang gliding...this may not be for you. However, if you are a thrill seeker...this attraction is absolutely exciting...I would do it again! Honorable mention for the lady selling the tickets for this event. She was informative, engaging and welcoming...on our way into the ride, we exchanged, "ALOHAs"! Made our time there more memorable! Thank you Miss!
