Hi, the first time we visited it was great, customer service was wonderful and the family really enjoyed. We had family from out of town and decided to take them to the mall to visit Sea Life and Fly Over America. We bought a combo ticket because it was a good deal. When we went to Fly over America the staff wasn't very friendly from the get go. We redeemed our certificate and entered the line. We were up next to enter the waiting area where you watch the safery video and then enter the theater. Since we had been there before we knew what to expect. It was clear after standing there 30 minutes that there was problem. Staff were running around and people who were waiting in the waiting area began to leave. No announcement. It was extremely hot in the waiting area. I went out to ask what was wrong and was told by the guy scanning tickets that there was a problem but it had been fixed. We waiting 20 more minutes and I again asked a lady that was walking by what was wrong and was told that they were extremely busy and it would be 1.5 hour wait. Let's be real here. It is barely a 15 minute ride. No one had entered the ride in 40 minutes by now and all of a sudden it balloons to 1.5 hour wait. Something doesn't add up. After waiting 20 more minutes the folks in the line were getting quite upset since no one is telling us anything and obviously there is a major issue. A front line employee finally comes out and says that they are extremely busy and from the front of the line it is a 2 hour wait. Just crazy. We decide to leave and get our money back. Only problem is they only refunded us $56 for six tickets. Short changing us $16. The manager doesn't care. There is a line of 30+ people trying to get a refund. Only one person agrees to give refunds even though there are 3 people behind the counter. It wasn't worth trying to explain it to the employee as they didn't understand math. The ticket they printed said $72, which is the discounted price of the combo ticket. Regular ticket price would have been close to $100. Really bad experience all around. I don't apprecite at all being misstreated by a multi million dollar company and basically being ripped off and disappointed. Walked away not seeing the film and without our full refund. No apology. Mean employees. Total chaos. No accountability by this...
Read moreThis was such an incredible experience! My friend flew in from Arkansas to Minnesota, and we spent the day at the Mall of America. FlyOver America was the one activity I knew we absolutely had to do—and it exceeded all our expectations!
We had CBD gummies beforehand (highly recommend 😂), which made it feel even more like we were truly flying! The wait time was surprisingly short, especially considering it was the holiday season, and the mall was packed.
If you have visitors from out of town, this is a must-do! It was the highlight of our day at MOA. Through January 2, 2025, FlyOver America transforms into a magical winter wonderland for the holiday season. Guests get to help Santa search for his missing elves during an exhilarating flight across America and onto the North Pole. This festive experience takes your holiday traditions to new heights!
Holiday visitors will sit in a suspended chair, feet dangling, in front of a massive, four-story spherical screen. Special effects like wind, mist, and scents, combined with the chair's motion, make it feel like you’re soaring alongside Santa. It was truly magical!
If you’re visiting Minnesota, FlyOver America should definitely be on your must-do list. The attraction is easy to find, simple to navigate, and worth every penny. Our ride lasted 20 minutes and was worth every second. Highly recommend for fabulous entertainment!
Great gift date night idea! Pair it with going to eat at Cedar and Stone for a delicious meal and cocktails!!
They also rent it out for business events team building and employee appreciation...
Read moreMy husband and I have been to FlyOver America a few times in the past couple years and we never had any issues. We brought our 7 year old with us today and our experience was horrible! We added the passes for the FlyOver America onto our Nickelodeon Universe wristband. We decided to use our passes around noon. The front desk person did not say a word to us when he scanned our wristbands, but since we have done it before, luckily we knew where we were going. We stood in line close to an hour, just to have our wristbands scanned again. The man who was scanning either could not count or was not paying attention and actually had people back up in line because he allowed too many people in. When we finally got our wristbands scanned, he placed us in one row and we waited in another room with projectors that didn't even work. The entire time waiting in that room, the man was playing on his cell phone. Many people were getting upset because there was no communication on what was going on. We were finally able to get to the room where they go over the rules. My husband, daughter, and myself was moved THREE times to different rows because the person had no clue what he was doing. When we finally entered the flight room, we waited once again for directions, but was just ignored, so we just found 3 open seats and sat there. The flight was amazing as always, my daughter loved it, but the service was horrible. There should be more communication and the front desk should let the customers know how long the wait time is at that point or bring back...
