After arriving in the evening on a Friday, I checked in and went and picked up dinner then dropped off my rental car. The desk staff gave me a card and told me to call the number on the card to get picked up at the airport. I did as instructed and was told the shuttle would be there in 20 minutes. After 15 minutes I went out to the curb to wait for the shuttle. The 20 minutes came and went and no shuttle.
I called the hotel and asked where the shuttle was. I was told it would be another 15 minutes. Again, those 15 minutes came and went. I called back again and Megan answered. I asked where the shuttle was and she said she would call and find out. I asked to be up on hold until she was able to find out. I was on hold for at least another 5 minutes and then disconnected. Being thoroughly peeved, I called again and Megan didn't answer this time. The young man at the desk answered. I explained the situation and what had happened so far. He said the shuttle would be there in 10 minutes. (are you adding up the time??) I explained to the young man that I was a Marriott Gold member and that if the shuttle did not arrive in 10 minutes I was taking a taxi and they would be reimbursing me. He also stated that for my inconvenience he would have additional points added to my account.
I ended up taking a taxi. I left early the next morning. I had booked a 7am shuttle but with the events of the evening I got up earlier and took an earlier shuttle just to make sure I wouldn't miss my flight. I asked the young lady at the desk about the additional points and was informed that the Manager was the ONLY one who could authorize the additional points. Guess what... NO ADDITIONAL POINTS.
I will say the room was clean and I slept well, though the HVAC system is very loud (I chilled the room and turned it off).
Will I stay at this hotel again? With so many other choices (Marriott properties included),...
Read moreStayed three nights July 2025 in a two room king suite. Staff nice, very clean, bed comfortable, breakfast tasty, good cell service and video reception, free on-site convenient parking, nice central location. | My wife and I rented a King Suite because we enjoy the additional space. While , the “living room” area is quite large, there is so little functional furniture that it becomes “dead space”. The couch, which faces the TV mounted on opposite wall is the smallest thing I have ever seen, short, narrow, horribly uncomfortable and totally unfit for human relaxation. Maybe OK for “ munchkin’s’. No end tables, no “coffee table” even though plenty of room for them. We had to place wine glasses on a maybe one foot round somewhat unstable free standing small table. Room otherwise lacking in common furnishings you would find in other hotels. | I informed front desk about my dissatisfaction with the room, primarily the couch and living area, but was told all the rooms had been recently remodeled, they all had the same (tiny) sofas, so there would be no sense in moving to another room. Should consider firing the person who made room furnishing acquisition decisions. | So, if you stay here, rooms other than the suites may be just fine, but avoid the Suites.| Also, the front door leading into our room was so heavy it must have been made out of tank armor. Difficult to open, and you have to be careful when exiting to avoid being hit as the door rapidly closes (on its own). | Also, given suite room’s negative issues, it was...
Read moreThis was our second time staying at this hotel, and we were pleased with each visit! Both times, we had a spectacular view of the MOA (the sign) from our windows. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but we were not negatively impacted by that at all. On the contrary, we enjoyed a newly renovated room without the added noise/ruckus. We were even able to check in slightly earlier! The suite (2 bedroom, king size) was spacious, clean, and bright, with a nice kitchen and dining table. The hot breakfast is pretty standard, offering bacon, sausages, eggs, and a waffle maker. There were also continental-style options. We didn't expect more, and it gets the job done of filling our kids up with breakfast at the beginning of a fun-filled day! The hotel is within excellent walking distance from the mall, averaging 5-7 minutes. That intersection can become quite busy, but it's equipped for pedestrian crossing. If you do not intend to drive there, it's very feasible to be chauffeured to the hotel; there are many restaurants in the mall, as well as Walgreens! Even after the mall closes, there is a pizza restaurant right across from the hotel (Pizza Novara). If I could change anything, I would add one more bathroom for our family. However, my husband and teens were able to utilize the one in the lobby, which I was told remained clean throughout our stay. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and had a fabulous...
