This is a long one, but the gist is that this place has the worst customer service, management, and food that I’ve ever experienced. Not one positive thing I can say about this place.

When we first got there the hostess laughed and asked “you’re trying to eat NOW?” at 7:30 on a tuesday night. We had a reservation and I have attached a screenshot of it. Apparently there were a bunch of private events, but it was a tuesday night and we had a mini golf reservation at 8:30, and there were more than enough tables available downstairs. We were told to go upstairs to see if there was any availability there.

No tables were available there either and we were told to go downstairs and sit at the bar. We begrudgingly sat at the bar for our disgusting appetizers (poutine and empanadas, both hit my stomach like a rock and simply were not good) and finished our overpriced drinks and wanted to start our game early. All of the parties downstairs had cleared out at this point, so I assumed we’d be good to go. We tried to sign in on the terminals downstairs but they were all down. At this point one of us still hadn’t registered but we saw our name on the board with the color green next to it. Instead of telling us what to do the hostess said “8:30 and green? that doesn’t make any sense” and didn’t attempt to help us further.

Once we figured out (ourselves) how to register, we asked the host again what to do, and she told us to find the hole corresponding to our color (green) which was on floor 2, went upstairs again to find that after completing registration they changed us to amber instead which was downstairs. Went downstairs and they had closed the entire downstairs area for another private party. Spoke to the host who sent us upstairs again. Finally Ellie helped us by getting us set up at the sapphire hole (throughout this entire experience she was the only one who was kind and helpful) and when we went to play there were no balls in the dispenser.

We decided we’d had enough and went to the front to ask for a refund. The host said we had to do it online, but after our experience I wanted to speak to a manager. After recounting our experience to Alex De Luz, he said that they were “really busy” because of the parties and that’s probably why the downstairs terminals weren’t working (literally the least of our concerns). He did not address a single other issue and then said “I don’t know what you want me to do”. I said I wanted a refund again but honestly I was hoping for a little sympathy and customer service to smooth over the situation. A genuine apology at the very least. Instead he said there was nothing they could do and I had to go online. During his condescending spiel I decided to just walk away because he clearly did not care about me or my experience. As i walked away he shouted across the establishment “have a great night and happy anniversary” in the most awful horrible tone I’ve ever heard. I came back in after cooling down to get everyone’s names, and as I left the entire hostess staff and the female manager began laughing at me.

We are on a trip to Boston from Florida for our anniversary and this was our first day in town. Not only is our anniversary itself ruined, but this experience will color the rest of our trip and will be what we think about when we think of Boston. Never in my life have I been treated so horribly. At this point, a full refund (including the price of our horrible food) would barely even make up for the time lost during our finite time in Boston, and I will do everything in my power to let customers know what type of business the owners of Putshack are running. I’m not usually one to make a big stink if I had a negative experience, but this entire visit was beyond horrible, and after looking at other reviews it’s clear this location needs work on their management and...

We went here this past Thursday with a reservation made online and did the before 4 offer of -buy one round and get a 2nd round for half off-bc $18 is quite expensive for just 9 holes of golf and bc 9 holes goes very quickly. Plus we wanted to see more of the unique. They were quite fun. Unfortunately we didn't get to do any of the ones we were excited to try such as the beer pong, skee-ball, and basketball hoops. The computer automatically chose which courses we were assigned to-Ruby and Sapphire. When we were waiting to begin at the second course, we noticed the first 2 holes were the same, so I went over to the attendant at the first course and vocalized our concern. She assured me that only the first 2 holes are the same and the rest are unique. Well, when we were on the 4th hole we were able to see that actually 6 out of the 9 holes are the same. We did not think we could stop while in the middle of the game, but when we finished, I went and told the attendant, so that she would not give others the inaccurate information. She actually responded that she knows! Then I said that she had told me it was only 2 and she replied, "yeah I know". And kinda just poo-pooed me. So then I went to the guest counter and the young man there told me that If we hadn't finished our course, we could have played a different round but since we did, we cannot. Terrible customer service. I could understand if we hadn't said something before we played, but I DID say something, and was LIED to by their employee! They should have righted their wrong! Businesses need to understand the value of running a business with integrity but they clearly don't. I have a co-worker who told me about her bad experience here when I was telling her about mine. This tells me they have some learning to do as a new business. Don't be fooled by their response to me. **Update-Management eventually, after a month, got back to me and we were invited to play a free round of golf at the green course to compensate for the unprofessionalism shown by the staff there. If you do 2 rounds there, you want to do the green course and either the Ruby or Sapphire. Not both the Ruby and Sapphire unless you like repeating the same course twice with just different themes applied to the same strategy. It is a...

There is little positive to say about our recent visit. We made a reservation, and when we arrived two of the four screens meant for check in weren’t working at all. We waited in line, and the one we used froze. We had to wait in another line to speak to a person. Our reservation was for three rounds, and apparently they booked us on a course that was downstairs and not open for one of them. They told us it should have automatically rebooked, but it didn’t. So, we had to wait for an attendant who had a tablet (not all of them do) to come over to fix it. Then, a few holes into the last round, the screen froze. This meant that we had to find an attendant, causing a major backup behind us. As we waited, somebody told us that their ball stopped working on the first hole. We also noticed that people had to wait in some cases because the machine that dispenses the balls ran out of them.

I suppose the whole concept is an automated, video game-like miniature golf experience. But the digital aspect of the experience failed in many ways during our visit. When the machines are being opened and screens are rebooted, it really throws cold water on the entire idea. My guess is that the systems aren’t equipped to handle the capacity and/or haven’t been maintained well. The young kid in the group in front of us made a hole-in-one and the machine didn’t capture it properly. At least if you’re not relying on a functioning computer, you get to write down that score. The kid ended up pretty bummed about it.

I thought about raising these observations to a manager during the visit, but the interactions we had with team members were so bazaar that we decided it wasn’t worth it. It really seems like the whole facility is understaffed, and that the people working there are frustrated themselves with the issues the guests are having. We left mostly feeling frustrated and like we had devoted way too much time (and money) to three, nine hole rounds of miniature golf as part of an experience that wasn’t working as it should.

We went to another place close by for food, and had a great time. I’ll give Puttshack two stars for the concept and for luring us into this part of the city for the afternoon. The actual delivery of the concept, however, is...
