On NYE I entered Tyson’s Corner Galleria around 5:30 pm while it was pouring down rain with thunder and lightening. I had planned to attend the light festival and have dinner with my two daughters. I parked in a covered area and headed over to the event, not sure it was even happening due to the weather. Security stopped me and told me I had to move my car to the event parking valet. I told him we were headed to the event and then the mall, he said I had to move my car to the valet and then I could later drive it elsewhere. I offered to just pay the valet and leave my car where it was and he told me no, cameras were watching and I had to move my car. I said I was just going to go check to see if the event was even happening and he told “No you are not.” And stepped in front of me, telling me there are lots of people over there and it’s happening (for the record there were 5 other people over there and it was partially open). He then told me if I leave he will tow my car…. With hundreds of open parking spaces during a storm. This security guard unnecessarily escalated an evening out with my daughters, extremely unprofessional and absolutely targeted us out...

The acronym PPG for a name would be really dumb, definitely wouldn't want anyone to start calling me that and I'm not secretly hoping that Google adds that as a badge to my name. No way! Anyway, this is the best parking deck for access to the Tysons metro station across the street and, as far as I know, one of the few free parking lots with metro access in the area. I've never had an issue finding a ground level spot, even during the dinner hour on a Friday night and the walk across the street to the metro station is easy. It's in Fairfax County, between McLean and Vienna Virginia. Very astute environment which I love, this mall is the 7th Largest Mall in the United States. With a total Retail Floor area of 2.4 Million Square Feet it's easy to spend a few hours inside this place looking and shopping inside stores.
