We came here to see live music on a Thursday in early February. This was my first time here even though I seem to be in Gettysburg often. I ordered tickets online ahead of time. Ticket prices were good. We sat in the balcony - that’s my preference over the orchestra level. It’s a small theater so we could see just fine and the sound was good too. It was easy getting in and finding out seats. We didn’t interact with many staff/volunteers but those we did were all friendly and professional. There was a concession stand but we didn’t get anything so I can’t speak on what they have or what it cost. I think there was a local cidery selling hard cider prior to the show starting but we didn’t see them. This is a small intimate venue and I am happy to day that those in attendance enjoyed the musicians and did not do a lot of conversing while they were performing which was nice. The seats were comfortable and my knees were not smushed up against the seat in front of me. I’m tall and usually it’s a tight squeeze but there was enough room for me. It wasn’t a lot but it was enough. We parked on the street at a meter just across from the theater. I think meters are few after 8p during the week so we didn’t have to pay for much and it was nice being so close since it was cold and a little icy. We had an enjoyable time here and would go back again.

Beautifully restored 1925 theater, magically renovated and brought back to life. Wonderful main room with balcony, the original ceiling tiles, and lovely chandeliers, an added 50s-style-lobbied twin cinema with a fantastic roster of art-house, independant, and yes, select first-run movies (we saw the Baz Luhrmann-directed "Elvis" with the absolutely astonishing Austin Butler - a phenomenon!) and wonderful facilities. Park behind in the reasonably-priced public parking garage on East Racehorse Alley, dine at Kazue (ramen and sushi) and stay at the adjoining historical Gettysburg Hotel.

Took my fiance here for his first local production of a Christmas Carol. He loved it! The ONLY downside is that the concession stands are still closed (assuming covid), so make sure to pack a car water (as they are not allowed in the theater) OR visit the sushi place next door and support their business with a beverage purchase 😊 I just love the magic of this theater. It's classic and gorgeous

A hidden gem. Everybody should go to experience the renovated beauty of this historic landmark in downtown Gettysburg. Lots of indie films play here (love it!). One of the first movies I ever saw here was Little Miss Sunshine, and most recently The Peanut Butter Falcon. I also a great documentary called Buck, the only good thing playing when I turned 40 so that's how I celebrated lol. Lots of great times, and very reasonably priced. You will not go broke on an evening out at the Majestic. Sometimes the crowd is a little bit older (so what?!) but my teenage son was really enamoured with our recent visit. He liked the unique concession stand with its bottled drinks, and I like the cozy stadium seating. The entire place is redone from top to bottom, inside and out. There are also local artists featured in the gallery as you walk through toward the theater. There is a small cafe attached and adjacent to the theater. A night out at the Majestic will not put a huge dent in your wallet. I love the Majestic. Lots of generous folks help support this theater and I hope it's always around for...

We visited for the 30th anniversary of the Gettysburg movie. Staff was very friendly and helpful and they were constantly ushering people and quickly cleaning up messes from the crowd. Parking is a bit difficult during a large event like this but there is a garage behind the theater available for reasonable rates. Concession prices are reasonable and many choices as well. This event did not offer chosen seating and it was first come first serve. I would prefer to choose a seat when purchasing tickets. We were able to find a good seat but once others are seated with their group, they tend to not want to give up the seat next to them so that they have more room. People were also often unfriendly but with a large, sold out event like this, I think chosen seating would be better. There were a few technical difficulties in which the movie stopped completely and had to be reset but they were quick to correct...
