Easily one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been in, food and wait-wise at least. First time eating here with my family. It was a horrible experience for the 5 of us. First red flag was that it was barely filled with customers on a Sunday morning. Yet we stayed cause the restaurant itself doesn’t look bad (that’s how they get you). The next red flag was that my orange juice was completely watered down. Never ever had a bad glass of orange juice before. Then I ordered a decaf coffee instead. That also tasted horrible, like it was sitting all morning. Then came the wait. 45 minutes. A ton of time wasted as the employees ran around and all huddled around each other with receipts as they struggled to keep up with a restaurant so sparsely filled with diners. Our food finally arrived. All five plates were in varied cold and warm temperatures like they were microwaved. My pumpkin “cream cheese” (the “cream cheese” was pumpkin spice whipped cream on the side) pancakes were incredibly dry and tasteless. The orange pumpkin sauce slathered between them was also barely detectable in flavor. They were supposed to be rolled yet they were folded and mashed on their sides. No sight of powdered sugar dusting either. The first bite I took came with a small crunch inside. Such a nice surprise. We stated to the genuinely nice server that our food was all bad and that we wished to leave. But we still had to pay for all the subpar drinks we had though, which was the cherry on top. TL;DR: Wait was long. Food dry and tasteless and not as described. GO ELSEWHERE to save your time and money like we should’ve.

This place has the most amazing vegetable stuffed mushrooms with herb cheese on a parsnip puree sauce, drizzled with I don't know what. Looked like chocolate but we ate it so fast I couldn't catch what it was as we were late for our ghost tour. And as a self proclaimed chef myself, I know stuffed mushrooms. These were incredible. We also had the Risotto balls and they were crisp on the outside yet light and airy inside. This place has great outdoor seating and the waitresses were great. The service was fantastic so we returned the next night when we had more time. The waitress remembered us, which adds a personal touch and shows how attentive they are to their customers. The second night did not disappoint. My daughter had the Linguine Bolognaise with veal, beef, pork and roasted tomato. I think it was the only time she stopped talking during our entire trip was to eat this meal. I had the Crab stuffed scallops with mashed potatoes and shrimp succotash. Since scallops are my favorite and I know how to cook them, I often order them just to gauge how good the chef is. This chef is top notch. I take these trips to find new recipes and see how other chefs prepare their meals. It's only fair that if I'm testing them, I give them my fair opinion. This is the only restaurant on our trip that gets a five star rating. The food and the service were fantastic.

We were staying at the Hotel, Great place, however we went to dinner at their restaurant. We arrived at 7:30 and we were asked if we had reservations and when we did not I felt as if the manager was annoyed by that fact (they weren’t busy) I was pleased to see that they had Gluten-free food available and labeled on their menu. We ordered a salad and our entree (Thyme marinated chicken which was labeled gluten free) well 45 minutes later we still hadn’t gotten our salad it took 55 minutes to finally receive that and shortly after that the entree came. I inspected the chicken dish while finishing my salad and it was covered with gravy. I have celiac disease and can not in any way eat wheat products and gravies have wheat flour in them for thicker. I questioned it once our waitress returned and she checked with the chef and manager about it and found out that there was in fact gluten in the gravy. My BF ordered the shrimp provinciale but instead of getting that a shrimp cocktail was brought out. They remade his dish and was served before mine was corrected. I was told that they couldn’t make mine and have it gluten free which I tried to explain that they could just not put the gravy in and it would be fine. The manager insisted it couldn’t be done. So I then order their filet mignon and joked around that I didn’t want the gravy if they put it on. When the filet was brought out sure enough they put gravy on it the waitress felt so bad she also brought out a salmon dish in case I wanted that instead. Which I did not. The manger came over again and said that they couldn’t make the filet gluten free either I was very angry at this time and told him just leave the gravy off if. Finally my meal came out no gravy but no potatoes either the chef was under the impression that potatoes had gluten in them so he replaced them with chopped zucchini which was so salty they couldn’t be eaten. It’s very sad that a restaurant would have meals on their menu claiming to be gluten free when they are not. I have eaten meals in other countries and establishments where there is a language barrier and was able to get a meal I can enjoy. This manager and chef just didn’t get it. I might add that the same gravy was also put on my BFs dish as well. Gravy on shrimp!!! If you have any kind of food allergies, or sensitivity this place is not for you. This evening could have made me very sick for several months. A restaurant should educate themselves before creating any kind of menu and claiming it to be...

Lets start off with the time we waited to get our orders taken, and mind you the restaurant was pretty empty. Finally we order...and we wait...and wait...and wait... I had ordered a salad it never came before the meal... then our whole meal including the bread comes at the same time. Then I noticed there was hard boiled egg on my salad. This WAS NOT mentioned on the description on the menu. Besides me HATING hard boiled eggs, my boyfriends mother whom we were traveling with would not have been able to eat the salad because she is allergic to eggs. And since the egg was so finally crumbled if she would have taken a bite not realizing she could have had an allergic reaction. So We inform them of the potential danger of that not being mentioned on the menu and they sent my salad back and I waited...and waited...and waited. Finally my Menu correct salad comes. We expected the manager to stop by our table to apologize for that potentially deadly mistake, but did he? Nope. He stopped at the table behind us which was 4 ladies dining by themselves with whom he shamelessly flirted. Then he stopped at the table in front of us who he really (excuse my language) kissed their butts. I don't don't know if they were "Gettysburg Royalty" or dissatisfied costumers from another visit but he was at their table every 5 minutes for their entire meal, and they got their meal on him. And I didn't even get an apology. During our time there we noticed at least 3 parties get up and leave because of the terrible service. That evening my boyfriends mother and her other son went down to the bar to have a drink, as we were staying in the hotel, which was very nice... My boyfriend and I were going to meet them. Until I get a call from her saying that they walked in and were ignored for about 20 minutes before they had enough. So they left and went to the bar across the street. To be fair, when we finally did get the food it was great but that's besides the point. The poor service trumped how good the food was. The whole experience made us uncomfortable as though our patronage was not valued. I felt as though they thought we were not good enough to give their best service to. I would not recommenced this...
