We have stayed in many B&B's across the country and this one is in the top! My husband and I just spent 4 nights at the Gaslight Inn B&B celebrating our 43rd anniversary. We stayed in the Sweet William room. This room is on the third floor (33 stairs to the top which we had no problem navagating multiple times per day), at the end of the hallway, access to the shared balcony with a seating area (couch, table with fireplace which we didn't use due to warm weather), nice size ensuite bathroom. This room has noone next to you due to the arrangement of the top floor. The room was very quiet, comfortable bed and pillows. The mornings were very cool and we enjoyed opening the sliding door to enjoy the chilly morning air, and sitting on the porch drinking tea and coffee. Breakfast is outstanding! HUGE, very tasty, good variety and a perfect start to your long day enjoying Gettysburg and the Battlefield. They take great pride in serving the guests with a friendly, courtious staff (breakfast is served all at once, with a fabulous table setting including candles!). We so enjoyed our breakfast there that we stayed for breakfast our last morning even though we had a long drive home. They offer coffee, soda and tea 24/7. There is a refrigerator that is shared with all the guests - we did use this as we purchased sandwiches for the long drive home. Parking is very convenient right behind the Inn on an alley. You can park and walk to restaurants and stores after touring the battlefield during the day. No need to feed meters with coins when staying here. The Inn is tucked away from the main street by a block which allows you to have a quieter outside environment when sitting on the large porch or the balcony. They tend to your room each day (make your bed, refresh towels if needed, empty garbage, etc.) which is unusual in a B&B. There is a historian that comes in on Tues. & Wed. to chat for an hour before breakfast! This was one of the highlights of our stay. I highly recommend this B&B! We will be back hopefully soon!

We have stayed at many B & B in Gettysburg and this is in our top 2. Jennifer was so friendly and helpful. The other ladies serving breakfast were as well. Parking is behind the Inn, and once that is full they have 3 spots in the next parking lot so they never run out of dedicated spaces that are close. We stayed in the Aster room. No bathtub but shower big enough with hot water that stayed hot morning and night (I love hot showers). Also plenty of water pressure and soft water. I drink a lot of water throughout the day and they had a continuous supply of water for refilling my travel cup. They also stocked the fridge with sodas we could use, and coffee and tea were available all day. They also had homemade treats available all day that were delicious. We had a king bed in the Aster room that was comfortable and the room was huge with lots of seating. Lots of charging points for our devices and free WiFi. Everything sparkling clean. Close to the action of the historic area without the noise. Semi private outside porch on 3rd floor (only shared with one other room). Beautiful yard. Excellent breakfast with unlimited OJ, coffee, tea etc. Books and board games in sitting rooms on every level. They have umbrellas you can use if you don’t plan for the weather or a surprise rain comes through. They offer extra blankets. Ceiling fans in the rooms. My husband got the package with the cheese/fruit platter and sparkling cider which was so fresh.

This is such a wonderfully maintained Bed and Breakfast. My husband and I stayed two nights and were delighted with the location as it was easy access to downtown Gettysburg but as it was on a side street is was very quiet as well. The house itself is extremely charming, clean, and very welcoming. Our rom was amazing and we were delighted with the jacuzzi and the gas fireplace. Breakfast was homemade, delicious, and prepared with great care by Mike who is one of the owners. We also had an afternoon snack and water waiting for us in our room each day. A contactless check in was conducted due to the current COVID situation and it is very obvious that it is important to the owners to follow all COVID recommendations. We had no concerns at all about staying here due to the policies that are in place to keep everyone safe.

Charm and Deliciousness to Spare, Make Your Memories of Gettysburg Even More Special by staying At The Gaslight Inn

I have to tell You as an Executive Chef, A One time Bed and Breakfast Owner myself, and Trusted culinary Professional that it doesn’t get any Better than This very special Place Right Here

I don’t Like Breakfast, at all, period, I could prepare it all day long, but never eat a crumb, Mike, the owner is such an Exceptional Chef That I Would Honestly stand in line around the block for a chance to Try anything this man made, it’s that Good!, For the first morning of our two day stay, He served A Gorgeous Pear Crumble that tasted Fresh, Thoughtfully Prepared, And Warm With Notes of A thoughtful Hand at adding Seasonings like cinnamon and nutmeg, the main dish was a Roasted red pepper Frittata…. (not spicy at all, the capsaicin that Carries Heat lives in the seeds and Veins of the pepper that weren’t present) ….That everyone was still raving about the second morning when we United around the table again, the bacon was crisp and delicious, there was also a sweet bite of Blueberry crumble that I devoured and enjoyed every last hint of those fresh blueberries and cinnamon crumb, the Second day, we started off with a fresh strawberry smoothie, served cleverly scooped almost like a sorbet, with fresh mint from their garden, The main course as You can see by these Gorgeous Photos I loved taking was a creme brûlée French toast bake that rivaled anything else I’ve had in All My Time in Gettysburg, It had the perfect crunch and there wasn’t a crumb left by anyone at the table, Mike has the cleanest dishes to do at the end of every meal around because His meals are so satisfying, and they Help make the memories of a place more special, So, when you’re visiting Gettysburg, There’s no place better or more well worth a visit or your hard earned dollar than the Gaslight inn, I wish it were closer because If it was, We would Make this our home away from home and Will have to plan some weekend trips back soon because I’ll be daydreaming about the best Breakfast experiences I’ve ever had in My Life that I’ve left Behind Here, Mike deserves the compliments, as a Bed and Breakfast owner, and Executive chef at a bed and breakfast with a long list of accomplishments myself, There isn’t a thing I would change about the Gaslight Inn, It’s Perfect, Anyone and everyone would be lucky to stay there, there are sweet treats and drinks available all hours of the day As a Kind Gesture, and there couldn’t be a more genuinely interested, or valuable host than Mike and His staff, Mike is the Most Present Bed and Breakfast Owner Ive ever met, Most Innkeepers honestly by the end of the day or first thing in the morning are so busy they have a million things to do and just want to throw the food down and run, Not Mike, You’d never know it with him, there’s such an ease about Him, and a genuine, vested, present, and interested Host Waiting and at the ready to not just meet, but exceed Any expectations You’ll Have, Because I know He Has Mine, and Ours.

Job well done Mike!

-A Lancaster County Chef who has thoroughly Been impressed by, and...

"Enchanting Retreat: Gaslight Inn Bed and Breakfast in Gettysburg, PA"

Nestled in the heart of historic Gettysburg, the Gaslight Inn Bed and Breakfast is a charming oasis that exceeded all expectations. From the moment Claire and I stepped through the door, We were enveloped in a warm atmosphere of hospitality and old-world charm.

Let's start with the accommodations, which were nothing short of delightful. Our room was a cozy haven, tastefully decorated with period furnishings and thoughtful touches that added to the ambiance. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the room made it feel like a home away from home.

Our hosts, Mike and Jennifer and their staff at the Gaslight Inn truly went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. From the friendly greeting at check-in to the attentive service throughout our visit, every interaction was marked by genuine warmth and professionalism. Whether we needed recommendations for local attractions or simply wanted to chat about the history of the area, the staff was always eager to assist with a smile.

And then there's the breakfast—oh, the breakfast! Each morning began with a sumptuous spread of freshly prepared dishes, from fluffy pancakes to savory Quiche and everything in between. The attention to quality and presentation was evident in every bite, and the cozy dining room provided the perfect setting to start the day off right.

But perhaps the most magical aspect of the Gaslight Inn is its ambiance. Steeped in history and surrounded by lush gardens, the inn exudes a sense of timeless elegance that transports you to a bygone era. Whether lounging on the porch with a book or exploring the nearby historic sites, every moment spent at the Gaslight Inn felt like a journey back in time.

In conclusion, if you're seeking a tranquil escape with a touch of nostalgia, look no further than the Gaslight Inn Bed and Breakfast in Gettysburg, PA. Impeccable accommodations, outstanding service, and a setting straight out of a fairytale make it the perfect destination for a truly...
