Not sure where that one star review came from...This is a small up and coming restaurant that is truly achieving authenticity. I had: Tacos - Asada and Al Pastor - 5/5 they were great. They would benefit if they dipped the tortilla in oil. Not necessary but adds to the overall flavor. Al pastor could have pineapples but isn’t losing anything from not having them.
Nopal and frijol- for any vegans that are ok with beans this is the taco to have. Great flavor, can’t go wrong using a nopal.
— Quesa Birria....just wow. I’ve had a few from different restaurants from DC to Lancaster PA. They were 4, moderate in size. They made them lightly crisp, which is the perfect touch. The consomé was good with some birria. Small and tasty.
Chips and Salsa. Standard chips, they may make them there I do not know- good sweet salsa to go along with it.
Finally...Mangonada. Cubed mango with well if you know, you know. It’s good!
I hope that you give this place a try.
There may be a waiting time, I waited a bit but that was because they had a good amount of orders to fulfill plus a catering order. No worries, it was...
Read moreI have wanted to come here and try the food for a while now and I must say, I haven't been this disappointed going into a restaurant in a long time. Everything was overpriced, and it feels physically uncomfortable in the restaurant all around. I still wanted to give the place a chance to try the food but after ordering I was informed they couldn't offer drinks in a restaurant. What kind of restaurant can't give you a cup of water? I just wanted to take my family out for a nice dinner at a restaurant. Why would I pay a bunch of money to eat dry food without a drink? The girl at the counter clearly didnt want to ne there and I'M guessing it was the owner that came up and said the fountain machine was broken he doesnt care. If your machine is broken you either fix it or offer the guest complimentary bottled water considering you are the one not fixing your machine.... This place feels like a gas station hot food bar... I definitely don't recommend bringing your family here. Prices are all around terrible. Maybe come here alone for a overpriced lunch and definitely bring your...
Read moreVery disappointing and underwhelming food and quality of ingredients. I ordered the Al pastor tacos because whenever you try a new restaurant you go with something basic that’s hard to mess up, right? Wrong. The tacos were so unsatisfying. The meat was very small portions, it didn’t taste marinated at all, no pineapple pieces, and the meat was super dry and hard. There are no additions or sides to compliment these tacos except for 2 sauces in tiny cups that didn’t bring much flavor and a few slices radishes that weren’t spiced very well and not looking appetizing. The portions were so small that I felt like I was eating a kids meal. I could easily find other taco places that give you more for less. Overall, I think they need to improve on that and timing because our food took about 20 mins, which is uncommon for tacos. It should be quick. I kept waiting and wondering why it was...
