Hanging out in Gettysburg for the day with the kids and we need some lunch. First we go to un named resturant. Its really expensive with a small menu and the kids can't find anything they want to eat on the menu, however this is not a review of that establishment hence the no mention of their name. I then mention to my wife that I know that there is a diner across town that I think everyone will like, however I had never been there before. The first two things that I noticed and liked about the diner was that it had that old school feel and the staff acknowledged our presence as soon as we walked though the door making me feel right at home. When we found where we were going to sit we all decided that we had to go to the bathroom which happened to be down stairs which was fine for us but would not be accessible if you were any kind of handicap but that being said with the way the rest of the diner was set up there really wasent a whole lot of space in certain parts of the diner either although not downing them for that it is what it is. The booth in the part of the diner that we sat in was quite roomy and they all had partitions between them which with all of the social distancing going on was nice. Our wattress "Beth" then came to the table and was very friendly and plesant, I told her I would mention that lol. She took our order, recomended some drinks that she could make for us "strawbery ice tea" and retuned to our table a short time latter with our food. The food was delicious "breakfast" all around. The kids were happy, my wife and I were happy and we had a good time. The price for the four of us was not very cheap but we got a lot of food for our money, ate good and were all full when we were done and that is saying a lot. Thanks to Lincoln Diner and "Beth" for a great time and good food we will be back for sure.

Have spent money in this place for years. Ordered a "hot pastrami sandwich" today and received two pieces of bread with one rubbery piece of mystery meat it. When I asked the waitress to exchange it for something else, she started raising her voice then proceeded to laugh at me and smack talk about me openly at the counter with her co worker and in front of customers. Then while waiting for my friend to finish, some woman standing at the counter tells me that they sent out 5 of them today with no complaints. I explained to her what was going on and she told me to leave or she was calling the police. She said I was the one causing trouble. Not Only is this place dirty, the wait staff gets drunk in the back, and the food isn't even decent anymore at best. I would rather eat cat food than that disgusting piece of mystery meat they served me today. The picture I took does it way more Justice than it deserves cuz at least it looks a tad juicy in the picture. Nasty staff, nasty attitudes, nasty food, filthy place with flies everywhere, oh and no handicap accessible bathroom!

Food was diner quality. We enjoyed it. They forgot my salad, macaroni salad and syrup. When I called the lady that answered the phone told a girl in the background and she started complaining saying SHE DID PUT IN IN THE BAG and the lady that answered put me on hold. When she came back she said we could come back and get it. Well that takes time from our vacation but I paid for it so we went back. Hmmm .... there sat my salad with the extra ranch NOT kept cold nor made fresh. 🙄🙄🙄🙄 I took it out of premise since no refund was offered!!!! That girl was soooo unprofessional. It's a salad that comes with my meal and a $ 1.99 macaroni salad. Say you messed up. It's no big deal. I told them I took a picture for my review. There's no salads.

Comfort food in a cool environment. Beth, our server, was awesome. Enjoyed breakfast here. We usually eat breakfast at the Lincoln Diner when in Gettysburg. They serve breakfast all day. The front portion of the diner- looks like the original part- is cute and old school diner-esque. We’ve gotten the French toast, blueberry pancakes, home fries, eggs, toast. All of it was good. Only part that’s not optimal is they don’t do a wait list any longer. You have to stand in the foyer and wait til someone comes out to grab a table. This is maybe a bit crazy on the weekends. Sunday we waited a few minutes. On Monday there wasn’t a wait, and we sat immediately. Very good breakfast so worth a wait if there is one!

So this diner gets our attention cause the waitress Beth was our server. Great charismatic person that made our day. Place itself is lovely, typical local diner with good food, but not great. Don’t want to complain, but we have had better breakfast in the US. Nothing’s wrong, just saying. All dishes were ok, tasty as they should be. I am giving 4 for food, 5 for service and atmosphere. One is worth mentioning. The place is relatively cheap. Our four people, filling breakfast was 42 US dollars. I was happy to leave 20% tip. (not common for European tourist I guess.) check it out as it is a lovely budget place with American breakfast atmosphere.

We asked our son to pick where to go for breakfast and he found The Lincoln Diner. I thought it may be too busy but read on their website about it and their additions long ago. It looks small on the outside in a quick glace but it actual had a lot of room and tables. I had the He-Man, french toast, eggs, han, sausage and bacon. Son had A La Lincoln - bacon & my wife the same but with eggs. Our son was not pleased with the french toast but we ate all of ours. The bacon, sausage and ham were all good. The over-medium eggs were good as well. Service was fast and good. It was busy but for good reason! Great breakfast restaurant!
