What a great time! My husband and I were in Helen for Oktoberfest and wanted to do something other than wander up and down the strip and eat… and drink, lol. We went to the Alpine Fun Factory, spent $20 on 100 tokens and had an awesome time playing all kinds of arcade games for the afternoon!
The Walking Dead game is my favorite, it’s a cabinet game where you sit and the controllers are crossbows. I was excited to find that here, we also got to play the Jurassic Park cabinet game, Big Game Hunter, a ride-on motorcycle racing game, Pac-Man, and a lot of the hands-on classics like the basketball hoop toss game, Down a Clown and a game that looked a lot like beer pong and tried to win a stuffed animal from the claw machine, but y’all know how tough that is!
I learned that I would be a great person to have on hand in a zombie apocalypse, and I can defend you against dinosaurs, but if I have to hunt for my dinner, I’m pretty bad at shooting elk and even worse at shooting targets with a rifle. We earned about 100 tickets for some of the games we played, and we were able to get two packets of Fun Dip as our prize! What a great day!
There is also indoor go kart racing, both a small kids track, and a larger track for teens and adults.
It wasn’t crowded when we were there - there’s a lot of room to spread out and all the games worked well, which was exciting. If you’ve ever been to an arcade where a lot of things are broken that can be really frustrating, but we did not deal with that here at all!
I would definitely go back. The price was great. The staff were nice and the games are awesome! Thank you for a...
Read moreArcade games were awesome. I love that the second arcade area near the back is old fashioned tokens and not a card. Takes me back to my childhood. I did notice some leaks in the roof, dripping into buckets, but that didn’t really bother me. The inflatable room was ok. The reason I’m leaving two stars is because of the friendliness of the staff, or lack there of. The girl that was working in the second arcade area had a bit of an attitude. I brought tickets up to exchange for prizes and she completely ignored me while texting on her phone for several minutes, she never apologized, and worst of all she didn’t smile at all, not once in the two hours I spent there did I see her smile. That’s just poor customer service, especially when you work somewhere that is supposed to inviting and fun for children. Helen needs a place like this, something other than just shopping or tubing. It’s sad that this is such a poor example of something that could be really great with a little maintenance and a few...
Read moreOur family gets together near Helen GA between Christmas and New Years. Each time we always come here for the go karts. Every time has been a blast for us. The owner is great and has always worked with us when they are busy to get us out on the track. When not busy, he has even offered to pull out his two faster karts for my brother in law and I to race with. He pretty much let's us have at it while we're there. I think mostly because, he has watched us enough to know that we race each other hard but, don't beat on the karts. We don't purposely wreak anyone and we stay off the guardrails. There are not many tracks that you can have this much fun on ! The karts may be older but, they are fast and handle pretty well. It is a slick track so, it's more about driving ability than just hitting everything in sight.... We are on our way there again this week and hope to have another great time...
