An awesome venue aside from one huge con, they don't provide water. I went to a few raves here in the past year and love it overall. It's in the middle of downtown but parking has not been a problem. The lines go super fast and security are friendly and responsive. The best bathrooms I've ever experienced at a rave. Fast lines, super clean, always stocked with toilet paper, air conditioned, flushing toilets, sinks, and soap!! There's an attendant at every bathroom keeping things organized and flowing. Incredible efficiency and execution.
The sound system and visuals are outstanding. I saw Excision here twice and wow, he throws down. It's a large space with plenty of room to sit and relax and the fake grass is comfortable to walk/sit on. So. What's the problem?
Water costs $5 for a tiny bottle. At a rave in the middle of the summer in Vegas with temperatures soaring well into the 100s, people get dehydrated fast, especially those who are drinking alcohol or doing recreational drugs, which is common at raves/concerts. To charge that much for water (it was $4 last year) is just putting themselves in a vulnerable position for a lawsuit. There are a lot of personal injury attorneys in Las Vegas and all it will take is one person who gets injured from dehydration-related cause for there to be a lawsuit. The venue should reasonably foresee injury to guests under the circumstances. Why do you think amusement parks and festivals provide free water? For the joy of giving? No. To prevent lawsuits. This venue is opening themselves up to dole out some large settlements and legal fees in the future.
So whatever the ticket costs, budget about $5/hour to buy water here, so if you're here for a 6 hour concert, expect to spend $30 on bottled water. Not only that, all that bottled water creates so much extra waste and trash strewn all about the venue, harming the environment, and creating tripping hazards for guests. It's the one down side but it's a big one that hopefully will get resolved one...
Read moreOverall had a great experience. We got a reserved table which was right near the screen. Was a bit loud but handled it did not diminish the experience. The view of the screen was fine and people walking around didn't stop in front of us.
There were options for free admission but those folks had to fight for seats, or some say in the ground. They didn't seem to mind but that isn't my cup of tea.
With the reservation we were handed gift cards for drinks which were on the higher cost end but not totally gouging. The options were limited and the tent staff worked their butts off, but it took way too long to get a drink at times. Lines could take 20 minutes, even though the lines weren't long.
Food was sold by unique food truck vendors. There were hot dogs, BBQ, and Mexican food options. Nice, but nothing to write home about.
Bathrooms were very a big plus. They brought in large trailer bathrooms that were clean and plentiful. No lines or long waits at all, even at halftime.
You did get in and out privileges which I really liked as some in our party wanted to make a bet. I am not sure why they pushed to get you to sign in by noon if you already paid for your table but it wasn't an issue.
Overall I would recommend it for a...
Read moreGreat venue for concerts! No matter where you sit or stand you can see the stage as they have 2-3 big screens depending on the event. Love the fact that they have regular bathroom set ups instead of the portable ones. They are even taken care of by an attendant and air conditioned. I understand it's a venue that can change for each type of show and seating capacity but unfortunately at both concerts I attended they used really cheap plastic chairs that just killed my back. So, didn't care for chairs. One event was all day and only had 2 food stalls to choose from unless you were VIP. Not cool as there were more people in regular seating and less food options. Drinks, well it was ok for water and beer but soft drinks and mixed drinks to me were a bit much. Especially for the all day event. Next time will look into the parking discount as everywhere is easily $20 if you're there for any considerable amount of time. I just like parking closer after an event. Who wants to walk far when you're tired? Overall, the place has great sound, security/staff and is great for night concerts. I doubt they'll change prices for drinks but really think about the details of each event then I would give this place a...
