Cadillac Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar — Restaurant in Las Vegas

We had a horrible experience here, we went for happy hour which was going to be 4-7pm, we arrived at 5pm and a sign says $25 minimum per person, we ask why and they say because Thursday night football is on, that doesn’t mean anything to us as we weren’t there to watch football. We decided to eat there as $25 person can be done with a few drinks and food. The waitress took our orders and drink and food came out and we didn’t see her for 30 minutes which was around 6:08 and she asked if we wanted another round? We asked it’s still happy hour as it’s not 7 yet? And she proceeded to tell us happy hour now ends at 6pm how convenient!! Drinks are now $13 and not $5!! Also during of dinner a friend from NJ who we haven’t seen for 3 years stopped in to talk and the manager Jed rudely says “It’s $25 minimum per person and you have to leave” because my friend was there just talking to us and not ordering. Went here on the 29th to watch the 49ers seahawks game with my wife. Staff was attentive, restaurant was clean and modern. We had a cool couch and table to hang around which is so much better than a stool to watch a football game, so we were comfortable. Atmosphere was loud because of the tv but that's expected. Lots of TVs with several sports on but catering to SNF game. So far so good......

The food was "Mexican " by description but not by taste. I could barely taste the salsa that came with the chips. ($6.00) I had a combo plate, taco--ground beef it was 'meh' , a cheese enchilada. Had no distinction as to ingredients, just a hot mass of cheese, and a chicken quesadilla which was ok owing to the cilantro which makes anything taste good. It was hot, it looked appetizing but just did not do it for me--a native so cal guy-- on any level.
