I love going to farmer's markets when I visit an area to sample fresh local produce and to support the community. The Leavenworth market is on Thursdays from 4 pm - 7 pm, so we were able to stop by before we went to the Leavenworth Summer Theater. The market is located about a three minute walk from the Bavarian Lodge, up the behind the street the curves to the left through a residential area.
The market is in the grassy area and there is parking to the right. It was on the corner of Central Ave and Evans St and you could park in the parking lot.
There was big beautiful produce - vegetables, fruit, garlic. I bought donut peaches which when ripe were sweet and a smaller, flatter size then regular peaches - easier to eat. My friend bought raspberries and huge cherries. I bought handmade soap and an easy breathing aromatherapy stick (the essential oils are good for warding off insects and did help) from Infuse Organics.
