1st, parking your car will cost $5 per car daily The hotel is not in the greatest location, but the area has improved since the 90s . The hotel is now a franchise of Wyndham Hotesl. I thought it had been updated as it's been painted and they did some increased decorating however on the third floor hallway it does look like a Discovery Channel show about life in prison on death row and I'm NOT kidding It is painted battleship gray and there's not a single picture in the hallways nor in the rooms I had been told by the reservation agent there was a microwave, refrigerator and a hair dryer and a pool and many other amenities but if there are any others I don't know where they are When I first entered the room it smelled moldy. Like an old basement & air conditioning was not left on to be cool for those of us looking for some relief, so as we entered, we turned on the air conditioner and waited for it to cool down In the meantime we realize the low quality of the sheets considered the fact we had two queen beds in the bedroom with only three pillows each which is something I haven't seen in any other Hotel except another Windham Hotel I stayed at in Woodland California which is just outside of Sacramento to the north a bit off the 5 Freeway where their pillows were the size of the ones you get on a couch about 12 in x 12 in and only three of them there too at least that place had breakfast! This place does not, and this place is not happy about offering coffee nor offering creamer for said coffee, and the coffee maker looks like it cost no more than $5 and is very cheaply made The air conditioners look like they're from the late '80s early '90s, but they work pretty well. However, the refrigerator from the same era, though it looks a mess! This is where they decided to put your coffee machine if you can call it that and two packs of coffee with two packages that have stirrers, a napkin, and a packet of sugar! There is no coffee creamer here and you don't get extra like you can at Motel 6 or anywhere else you go and the other one I stayed at up in Woodland California ran out of coffee creamer and did not know where I could get any more coffee pods to make more coffee which is my drink of choice When we tried to open the door to go to the patio, the door had been painted shut! The person on duty at the front desk did not come to help us, so we took the screen out of the window. My son climbed out of said window and pushed the door until it opened! We then replaced the screen, of course, and closed the shutters they added for a touch of ambiance in the room that doesn't even have any art Then there's a problem with this swimming pool. We were told when we signed in yesterday that someone was coming to fix the pool yesterday, but I believe he was the manager and he told us that he would open up the pool and let us swim! We decided to invite my other son and his wife to come swim with us here so we all had on our bathing suits. He went down as soon as he arrived and found the gate locked with a padlock! When I spoke to the new front desk clerk I let him know with the manager had said the morning before and he proceeded to try to call the manager but couldn't get through and then finally the other man I was talking to there who was the front desk clerk told us that the pool had been out of service for months! So the manager lied to us Something to keep in mind if you choose to stay here actually a few things there are people in the neighborhood that yell for no reason whatsoever they just yell they might be having a conversation with themselves or just freaking out on drugs but you will hear and see this as I hear a woman screaming right now and most of the time you're going to have to go out to eat unless you're happy with sandwiches 24/7 or cold cereal because there's NO MICROWAVE. We've already spent over $200 on food and coffee, but at least we got some exercise walking for blocks round trip to go to the grocery store or said coffee and water. Etc may I suggest any place else?

Un lugar con muy buena ubicación y buen mantenimiento ,las habitaciones limpias ,sin problema alguno, a unas cuantas cuadras de la playa y excelentes lugares para ir a cenar

The star is for location only (easy walk to Vons, restaurant next door). Everything else about this place is a zero. Don't believe the " by Wyndham". The quality here is nowhere near that standard. The elevator door closes really quickly and doesn't have an emergency reverse, so my luggage cart got jammed in there twice. Dangerous! First impressions of the room: graffiti on the inside of the door, and tissue stuck in the hole where the peephole viewer used to be. Cracked, peeling paint on the walls, stains on the ceiling, and the floor moulding was filthy ( I don't know if it ever gets cleaned). No remote for the tv, the lights over the bed didn't work, and I could only find one working outlet. As far as I could tell, the wall a/c unit only put out hot air. Thank goodness the weather was mild. Moving on to the bath/vanity area: The iron was missing and there was no place to hang any clothes. That unit had been "removed" from the wall. There was, however, a mini fridge that insisted on freezing anything put in to it. Inside the shower was more graffiti of the sticker type. The phone in the room didn't work properly, so I had to go all the way down to the front window (desk) to tell them about any of this. Staff response was at best indifferent, if not difficult and antagonistic. I didn't find out about the sink until later. While shaving I noticed a lot of water on the floor. Turns out the drain pipe under the sink was leaking all over the place. Rather than deal with the staff again, I chose not to use the sink again. I could shave when I got home. Was this one of the places in Long Beach that was used to house the homeless? I don't know. But I do know that I would never stay here again. (Room 366 - other rooms may vary)

We stayed here the night of August 8th, 2025. Here are my thoughts:

Do not come here. At all. The front desk attendant was rude. Also, charged $15 for parking. The parking lot situation was badly designed. I almost crashed into a wall.

When we got to our hotel room, the smell of old piss and cigarettes meets your nose. We went inside and at first it looked clean, but the longer you stay the more you start to notice how "clean" it is.

The floors were dirty. There was crumbs on the floor, and every step I took I wanted to gag. Also, there was a dead roach in the middle of the floor. The beds aren't any better. There was unidentifiable black stuff on the beds. They looked like bodily substances. There was other crumbs on the bed, but it would take me a whole page to describe. I can't say anything about under the bedsheets because I didn't want to ruin my experience/stay further more.

The sink area outside of the bathroom was decent...at first. The faucet was broken. Everytime I used the sink the entire faucet would move, so I had to limit my use of it because I didn't want to finish it off. Also, the water only came out scalding hot. The fridge was right next to the area. It looked like they just shoved it all the way into the corner of the room. The temperature inside of it was barely cold. The coolness was faint. The top of the fridge was dirty, and looked like it hadn't been clean in months.

The bathroom was ok. But, the shower was disgusting. Utterly disgusting. I could not shower properly. I let the water run and the water was filling up the tub. I strongly believe the pipe was clogged. As the tub was filling up all kinds of trash was desending from the floor and going towards the drain. I was so glad to do that because I would have vomitted in the shower. Also, after that, I eventually got in the shower and as I was showering I could hear the pipes moving right under me. Worst shower I've ever taken in a hotel. The toilet paper looked used the bottom of it was yellow. Also, the toilet paper felt so cheap everytime I wiped my ass it felt like I was using my hand. All the trash bins in the hotel didn't have trash bags.

TV remote was trash. It didn't let us change the channel. Also, the wifi was non-existent. It didn't work at all.

Overall, the only good thing was that we were able to have 3 beds in our room. But, I still would not reccomend staying here because we payed $228 for a bad...

NO REGARD FOR HUMAN LIFE AND OR GUEST SATISFACTION

Let me first start off with that i by no means complain regularly. I generally have compassion for hospitality facilities and staff as I understand the challenges that they face on a daily basis. As I also work in hospitality and admit that I could at times have done better.

However I must say that the accommodations I was provided during my stay at the property was a “pest filled, graffiti ridden death trap”. I will start first with my main points of contention. Upon entering my room I was met with Large cracks on the walls near the entrance to the room and entrance to balcony. After I noticed the cracks on the wall I turn around to notice that the Hair dryer has been completely removed from the wall and laid down on sink countertops leaving at the place where the hair dryer usually is located EXPOSED ELECTRICAL, visible in the wall cavity is the romex connected to the leads of the hair dryer. All of this located directly next to the sink area without the proper electrical protection. When I went to restroom I was surprised to find a partially used toilet paper roll that I assume to be used by the previous guest. While investigating the bathroom further I had found the following items. HIGHLY CALCIFIED SHOWER HEADS AND HANDRAILS MISSING TUB STOPPER and a LOOSE CURTAIN ROD.

For the rest of the room I found GRAFFITI + paint EVERYWHERE in the room including the closet, bedside table drawer, floor, desk and more miscellaneous areas. While looking around the walls were Heavily scraped and worn. The beside table that had graffiti was also VERY difficult to open. And had mysterious WHITE STAINS. Continuing to the clothing drawers, they had hair and ANOTHER MYSTERIOUS WHITE STAIN. Following to the balcony connected to the room the door is hard to open and has a very large draft under the door. The furniture provided outside was very dirty LOW QUALITY.

This place is a deathtrap with multiple code violations and...
