The FIRST outdoor shopping mall in America was here in Hollywood at the Cross Roads of the World building. The reason it was built in the first place? Because there was an on-site murder and the widow of one of the victims could no longer stand looking at the original building. Let’s get into the history! #losangeles #ilovela #la #hollywood #murder #murdermystery2 #murdermystery #truecrime #sordis #hollywoodfiles #hollywoodlife #lainaminute #Inverted #crossroads #crossroadsoftheworld

"Crossroad of the World" This very famous place was built in 1936. By architect Robert V. Derrah. (I learned about the history later by looking up the Wiki.) A place of great historical value. ❤ Photo memories of this place. I took pictures from inside the car while waiting for a red light, on the road when I passed this place. ‐---------- Vietnamese language: "Crossroad of the World" Nơi đây rất nổi tiếng đã xây dựng năm 1936. Tri Ho Van. #konica_baby

Unfortunately this place has been directly effected by the downward spiral of LA. Close and not worth seeing

I AM IN CHARGE OF OFFICE LOCATION SCOUTING FOR OUR COMPANY IN THE GREATER LOS ANGELES AREA. 18 OFFICE LOCATIONS SO FAR. ANOTHER COMPANY I WAS AN INVESTOR WITH HAD AN OFFICE AT CROSSROADS OF THE WORLD YEARS AGO. THE LEASING AGENT SEEMED CONFUSED AS TO WHETHER I WANTED AN OFFICE OR AN APARTMENT. THEY OF COURSE HAVE OFFICES. I HAD ALREADY LEFT A MESSAGE WITH A LIVE RECEPTIONIST IN ADDITION TO VOICEMAIL. BY THE WAY, THEY HAVE AN ENCLOSED BALCONY FACING SUNSET ABOUT WHICH THE LEASING AGENT FORGOT EXISTED, WHEN I MENTIONED BALCONY...

This is classic Los Angeles architecture, and some say it's the first open air shopping mall in the US. Unfortunately slated to be converted into high-end shopping for the behemoth glass hotels and offices that are soon to be erected nearby. It will be preserved as a "charming showcase of old Hollywood," but overshadowed by surrounding anachronistic...

Historical landmark more like dump. They don’t let locals in. They ask for $500 to be filmed. Doesn’t matter because we had an urban explorer show YouTube what it looks like. The owner is a millionaire and doesn’t want anyone to experience joy here. Too bad the area has declined. A hub of...
