For over 6 years, I've dealt with Trell Jones' foul, moth ball-smelling breath, and while he's good at cutting hair, he'll use your connections and skill sets for his own personal gain, embarrass you in front of other shop patrons, and let his employees disrespect you. Also, be prepared to be potentially spit on by Trell, as his spit is constantly flying out of is mouth during the cut. In my opinion, Trell is a discriminatory clout chaser who will cowardly text you an hour after cutting your hair to let you know he can no longer cut your hair because it "hurts" his shoulder. I confirmed with Trell via phone today that he specifically does not want to cut my bald head due to a âhurtâ shoulder and despite his "hurt" shoulder, he's happy to keep cutting other bald patrons. He also claimed to me heâs no longer providing the service Iâve been booking for years, but his schedule still reflects availability for booking through next year. I highly suggest you find another barber to invest in that you will get the value for what youâre spending without potentially being discriminated against. If anyone reading this has a similar experience, please feel to contact me directly, as Iâve already started legal proceedings against Trell Jones and Fade U for his alleged...
Read moreWhat a difference between my first and second visit to the shop. I walk in on a Sunday morning, soon after 11. One stylist working with one client. They're in the middle of conversation so I say quiet a hello and take a seat to wait my turn. Ten minutes later another client walks in. She's yet to finish with the gent in the chair. Twenty five minutes after arriving she finishes with the initial gent, cleans her space, then ushers the guy that arrived ten minutes after me up to her chair. Either I didn't realize I was still wearing my invisibility cloak or she chose to just deny me service for no cause, reason, or explanation.
This is profoundly disappointing because I live in the neighborhood. I've made it a point over the last few months to invest money into the neighborhood as much as possible. What better way to do that than to walk three blocks from my apartment to a stylist for a haircut? The biggest irony? She's the stylist that cut my hair four weeks ago during my first visit. In fact, she left me an incredible hair cut that left me with no hesitation giving a $10 tip on a $40 cut. But, at the end of the day, customer service has more value than a bomb cut. After this morning she left me no...
Read moreMy goodness. A++++++! âșïž I walked in and asked if they do walk ins (I just needed to get cleaned up after I just got my dreadlocks retwisted), and Trell said he could hook me up after his current client even though they normally just do appointments. I was super grateful he fit me in before his next client! âșïž Right from the get go I could feel how amazing of great energy he had! Super nice, super welcoming, and super warm! All three of us were talking while he was working on his other client, and it was great. After that client left, we had a great conversation!!! He's a great person and a great barber! He made it an enjoyable experience and checked to make sure if the clippers were too sharp. I came out looking super cleaned up and feeling as if I was just hanging out with a friend. âš I have no reason to look for another barber in LA. I...
