Parking, good food and service with fair prices, I’m glad that we went. The parking lot is not large, with a good number of stores it services, but cars are coming and going all of the time. It was not hard to find a place. The restaurant is not a big place and had plenty of seats when we went. You walk up to order, plus there is a good size menu with lots of options. It might take a bit to figure out what to get. We both ordered the Super Maki Combo bento box. There is plenty of food that comes with this meal. And it came pretty quick. Soup, tempura, steamed veggies, a couple of rolls, tempura, and a dumpling. They are not messing around here. The food was good, nothing really memorable, but nothing was questionable either. And for the price, not a bad deal. The staff was friendly and helpful when we were asking about the menu. When the food came to our table, we were happy with the freshness and presentation. The sauces were explained with what dishes they were for. It is a lot of soy sauce! The tempura dipping sauce was not what I am used to having with tempura but worked with the meal. It was very light and had a nice flavor. It is worth trying out for a low key...
Read moreI came here for dinner a few months ago with a couple of friends since we needed a quick dinner in this area. Sushi Q is located in a plaza with several other businesses and they offer free parking in the plaza lot, which is nice. Parking was not an issue when we went. A fast-food Japanese restaurant, you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table when it is ready. All three of us ordered bento boxes. I wanted their chicken cutlet box, but they no longer offer it (despite it being on their menu -_-) so I got their BBQ Chicken bento instead. All the bento boxes come with miso soup, which they bring out to you first.
The staff here is pretty nice. My friend wanted to substitute her rice with extra salad and they accomodated her; they also brought her complimentary orange slices because she saw mine and wanted some. The food isn't amazing, but it's decent and the prices are decent too. Overall we had an okay meal here. If you are in the area looking for a fast meal in a clean location with friendly staff, and hassle-free parking, this is a...
Read moreWhen I lived in LA, SUSHI Q in Hollywood was one of my go-to spots — not just because the food was incredible, but because the people there made every visit feel special.
This place doesn’t rely on flashy decor or trendy aesthetics — it’s simple, low-key, and focused on what actually matters: the food and the service. The sushi is always fresh, perfectly balanced, and prepared with real care. You can tell there’s pride behind the counter. Every roll I had was packed with flavor, the fish was melt-in-your-mouth quality, and the rice was spot on — not too vinegary, not too sweet, just right.
What really set SUSHI Q apart for me was the staff. They were some of the friendliest and most welcoming people I met in LA. Genuinely kind, attentive without being pushy, and always made me feel at home. It’s rare to find that kind of warmth in the middle of Hollywood.
If you’re looking for great sushi without the pretentious vibe — just honest food made by good people — SUSHI Q is 100% worth it. I still think about it even after...
