Forget the boring old ice cream shops with their fluorescent lights and plastic spoons. Sip and Scoop is like a flavor explosion sprinkled with grown-up fun! Here's why you gotta scoop in:
Ice Cream Nirvana: First things first, the ice cream. It's homemade, creamy, and comes in flavors that'll make your taste buds do a conga line. From classic chocolate chip to adventurous lavender honey, they've got something for every ice cream adventurer. Plus, their waffle cones are legendary - think crispy, golden perfection that holds its own against the meltiest masterpiece.
Booze and Scoops? Heck Yes!: But Sip and Scoop isn't just about the kiddie stuff (although they have plenty of that too!). They've got a killer selection of craft beers, wines, and even boozy milkshakes that turn your sundae into a happy hour celebration. Imagine swirling a scoop of salted caramel ice cream with a drizzle of bourbon caramel sauce, all while sipping a crisp IPA. Pure. Bliss.
Vibin' Vibes: The atmosphere is like a warm hug from your favorite aunt. Think fairy lights, comfy couches, and board games stacked high. It's perfect for a date night, a family outing, or just hanging with friends. Plus, the staff is like a walking ray of sunshine, always ready to recommend the perfect flavor combo or pour you another pint.
Sweet Extras: They don't stop at just ice cream! Sip and Scoop has got all the fixings: hot fudge that'll make your heart sing, mountains of whipped cream, sprinkles galore, and even homemade cookies that are begging to be dunked. They even have vegan and gluten-free options, so nobody gets left out of the ice cream party.
The Verdict: Sip and Scoop is more than just an ice cream shop, it's an experience. It's a place where laughter floats on the air, spoons tap happily against bowls, and your worries melt away faster than a scoop of butter pecan on a hot day. So grab your friends, your sweet tooth, and get ready to scoop up some happiness!
P.S. Don't forget to check out their ice cream challenges (if you dare!) and their ever-changing seasonal flavors. You might just discover your new ice...
Read moreThis place has a bomb iced latte … when the right person is working.
First, I’ll preface this by saying I never feel the need to write negative reviews. In fact, I often write positive reviews on various venues, so this is a new experience for me to be treated like I’m an idiot when I’m just trying to grab a cup of coffee.
I went there Tuesday, as I have several times before, and a lovely woman made me a great half-caff latte, after I explained what I meant by “half-caff.”
Today, it was different staff and what a wildly different experience. A man working was nice and was trying to understand what I meant by half-caff. Fair enough! I realize it may not be a typical order and am used to explaining it to people. A woman who worked there seemed flat-out annoyed to have a customer and was insistent they couldn’t make me a drink because they didn’t have decaf espresso. “Oh, that’s weird!” I said. “I’ve definitely gotten it before - yesterday even.” I explained what I meant and she actually said, “I LITERALLY just said that.” It was like she WANTED an argument. It was a super strange experience, a really odd attitude, and you won’t ever catch me there again paying $8 for someone to be a jerk just for the hell of it. In hindsight, really wish I would’ve walked out or asked for...
Read moreThough the staff was very nice, the rest of the experience was unfortunately not great. It's clear as a former barista that the employees present yesterday during our visit are not properly trained in how to make lattes/cappuccinos etc. All 3 lattes myself and my friends bought were absolutely awful. Each one tasted like the milk was scalded so badly it tasted sour and wasn't drinkable, and the espresso used was either not compressed enough or just was very low quality and tasted stale and weak. I also watched one of the employees put hot milk into an iced latte for my friend. There doesn't seem to be any real training or quality control in the "Sip" portion of the establishment which was disappointing. We all three ended up throwing our coffees in the garbage outside the cafe. The place was really dead in the midst of a giant local festival so that should probably be a sign that things need...
