My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary the weekend of 3/12/23 and I have to say this place was incredible from even before our trip started to after we checked out and got back home. I was fortunate to have been able to work with the GM, Michael, who assisted us in extending our stay an extra night and who not only accommodated us, but went above and beyond by approving our cancellation through Booking and let us book direct through the hotel which saved us quite a bit of money. We were put in suite 401 and the room was spectacular. The room was spacious, the king bed was very comfortable, and the view of the Mackie Building across the street was stunning! The high ceilings and grand windows give a wonderful feel of luxury in addition to the lounge space. We arrived just before 2pm and were given a tour of the community lounge and our room and was surprised with a bottle of prosecco and a card congratulating us on our anniversary in our room which was a beautiful touch. Around 5pm, 3 complimentary bottles of wine were put out for guests and French pastries (incredibly delicious!) in the morning. The community lounge which is on each floor, had ample seating, a large fireplace and full kitchen to use if needed. The espresso machine is simple to use and makes delicious lattes! There is a massive fridge with assigned areas for each suite if you wish to store snacks, left overs, or maybe a few beers for your stay. The location is perfection and even though we brought our own vehicle, we left it with valet for the duration of our stay and walked everywhere. Valet is $35/day with unlimited check in/outs which is very comparable to the garages nearby. I personally loved that the majority of communication for our stay (checking in/out/valet) was done via text as there is no reception desk and for us the process was very clear and concise. You are given your suite number and a code for the door to access it upon check in time and it is as simple as that. You are given another code at the end of your stay which notifies the housekeeping staff that you are checking out and to come take care of your room. We had absolutely nothing negative to say about our experience and the top notch service extended to after our stay when I realized I had left behind my airpods in the room. I emailed and called Michael a few hours after checking out with this information and received a call back the next afternoon with the great news that they not only located them, but that they would be mailing them back to me asap, free of charge. All in all, we were extremely satisfied with our stay here at the Kinn Guesthouse Downtown and I will be looking forward to our next visit asap!!

I was a guest here back in December of 2023. Had the worst possible experience the weekend of my wedding. One day into the stay (which I had booked a 2 night stay) they called to ask for a security deposit which is odd considering previous to booking they should’ve notified me there’s a security deposit fee (they didn’t). Then told me they would return my deposit within 48 hours. I now have waited over 2 months for MY security deposit. I was so upset with the first night I experience so I booked another Airbnb to stay the second night because I felt so uncomfortable. I then called January 2nd for a security deposit. Nothing in response. Called a second time someone said they would write me a check and mail it (never did). I then called the front desk, her name was Lola, which I spoke to multiple times, and she said so many things were broken. Which is insane considering someone had already written me a check (so I thought.) On top of that, I have videos and pictures of my stay just in case this place decided to pull something, which they did. So then a manager called me and stated “nothing was broken.” Very odd that now 3 of the staff members have different stories. She had stated that she would have the owner call me. Guess what? Never did. Then she stated that I didn’t receive the security deposit because chairs were moved. Keep in mind it’s a common area so people are aught to sit down and move a chair. With that being said, horrible place to stay because you can’t sit down and if you move a chair or breathe a little too hard in this establishment they keep your security deposit. Worst experience the day of my wedding and if anyone decides to stay here please be sure to not move a chair. Still waiting on the owner to call by the way… almost 3 months later. (P.S I put one star, only because no stars wasn’t an option) ….I see someone responded, doesn’t look like 17 people. So unprofessional. I have pictures to prove it and documents. You and your staff get on the same page and then you can respond :)

What a great find! In town for a convention and ran across this gem. I had a corner room and was amazed by the floor to ceiling windows and spaciousness of the room. Decorated awesome also. Street noise happens but is to be expected in a downtown location. The bedding and towels were great but pillows may need to be switched - fell a little flat and had these weird tags (similar to the anti theft devices in stores) that kept winding up on my face. The fully stocked kitchen and other amenities were abundant. They have baskets with room numbers to store any of your goods in the refrigerator and I believe there is also a freezer in a drawer. Coffee and tea choices were good along with cereals and oatmeal to choose from in the AM. I had to search but the ice maker is in a cabinet as well as the microwave and freezer. They even have washer and dryers and a clothing steamer on each floor I believe with cleaning (tide) pods for your use. Ubers to get around the city were at the door within a few minutes each time I called. The door / valet gal was super nice also. The small restaurant and bar on site was good but only open a few days a week (not sure if just this time of year or not.) Definitely venture down to the Market and restaurants a few blocks away and this little restaurant right around the corner Backstage? Restaurant was a good find. I might suggest a "pre purchase" limited grocery list option for guests where they order and are charged ahead of time and the stuff is there on arrival. (Ie: soda, waters, snacks etc.) Because there is nothing right near the location we had to venture out and find it. Don't hesitate to book this, you won't be disappointed.

Return: YES✨ (a million times)! 🥰PROs: - 🗝Check-in: not needed, they send you your room number and access code via text 2 days in advance. The room code is used for building/elevator access. - 🛋Common area: each floor has one! Very spacey and great quality furnishing. - 🍳Kitchen: Free coffee/tea (Rishi)/ wine/ cereal/ small breakfast snack are included. Beautiful kitchen and living room space. - 🛏Room: Super tall ceiling, it’s amazing!!! Everything inside is very well maintained. We learned that a room inspection is always done after guests check out before doing room-cleaning services. The bedsheets are very soft and comfortable. - ☎️Customer Service: very responsive! All down via a phone call. we found out that we got assigned to a different room than the one we originally booked. We call their line immediately and get the problem solved within 5 mins! CONs: - 🚿Bathroom: the open concept/no shower door feature seems to be on trend now that more hotels are using that. With that being said, some water splash outside the shower, but MUCH less serious than Sonder hotel in Montréal which I just wrote an review on them last week. - 🎧weekend noise on the street: cars zooming by with loud music on Sat! Luckily, I brought some earplugs. This is not a big of a problem considering how great any other pros this hotel provides. 💬Suggestion: Will suggest Kinn to provide earplugs for guests. 📸Instagram: @thebakingredient

The guesthouse itself is beautifully designed, blending modern aesthetics with cozy comforts. My room was thoughtfully appointed, featuring stylish decor, plush bedding, and all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The attention to detail was evident throughout the property, from the elegant lobby to the well-maintained communal spaces. The location couldn't have been better. Situated in downtown Milwaukee, Kinn Guesthouse allowed me to easily explore the city's vibrant neighborhoods, cultural attractions, and lively dining scene. Whether I was strolling along the RiverWalk or sampling local brews at nearby breweries, everything was conveniently accessible from the guesthouse. I also appreciated the little touches that made my stay memorable, such as complimentary breakfast options, cozy common areas to unwind, and the overall inviting ambiance that encouraged socializing with fellow guests. Overall, my experience at Kinn Guesthouse was exceptional. If you're looking for a boutique accommodation that combines style, comfort, and personalized service in the heart of Milwaukee, I highly recommend booking a stay at Kinn Guesthouse. It's the perfect choice for travelers seeking a unique and unforgettable experience in this dynamic city.
