Hotel Indigo Nashville - the Countrypolitan by IHG — Attraction in Nashville-Davidson

Beautiful hotel in the heart of it all. Valet guys were very friendly but we had get the luggagecart and unload our own car on the street and then wait atleast 10 mins for someone to come collect our key . Poor guy had to park the vehicles by himself and no help for customers at the door. I do love that if we needed something out of our vehicle all we had to do was call down and they would bring our car to the front door. Infact my 16yr old son went out to meet the guy to get his phone charger. While bent over in the car he heard many gunshots , very close gunshots. A half to block away. Cops flying through and nobody thought to move him inside away from danger, nobody called us to make sure he was ok and not shooken up. No nothing, just a man that happens alot . My husband found out about it when he walked outside to see if my son got his charger. Then came up and told me about it. Also at arrival We walked in and the live music was so loud that we could barely hear the man checking us in, infact it was so loud I could hear her and the piano almost a block away. The rooms are so beautiful and large. There is a cool menu pad on the nightstand for you to order room sevice. The menu showed filet mignon and burgers . But when we went downstairs to the restaurant we sat a good 15 mins before I had to go get someone to get our drink order and give us menus. About 20 mins later another guy that could barely stand or talk took our order then came back and tried to take my sons order after he already placed one. We were told they dont serve filet and just do bbq. Most was good but a lot of fat or hardly any meat on the ribs. I did like our server though, he was very nice and apologetic for the bad service , just didn't need to hear other employees faults or personal business.

Very upset after paying for the massive 2 room suite with the dining table and 1.5 bathrooms we find out there's no sofa bed, no couch, just a king size bed so we had to rent a 2nd room for our son which was another almost 300. Please pay...

I stayed two nights 7/19 and 7/20. At $450+ (with taxes & fees) per night, this is the most expensive hotel property in which I have stayed outside of Manhattan. But I gave it a try because of the convenient location to Nissan Stadium. We experienced several issues with the room.

Our room was poorly cleaned. There were hairs on the shower wall and floor that were much longer and a different color than anything my wife or I have on our bodies. There was trash on the floor under the desk. The "feel' was that only the bed linens had been changed but the room was not cleaned.

The room had no hair dryer available

The sink stopper had no actuating rod in the plumbing fixture, and water could not be retained in the bowl, rendering it useless for bladed razor shaving.

I discussed these issues with the manager Alfred upon checkout. He was polite and generously offered to comp our valet parking as an accommodation, which I accepted. However, 10 minutes after checking out, I received a text from the Metropolis parking garage that they had charged my account $51.64 for parking that night. The car was valet parked and I should not have been charged. I called the manager Alfred by phone an hour after checking out and explained the parking charge issue. Again he was polite, said that this happens rather frequently, and that he would have the charge reversed. I gave him my tag number and he said not to worry about it, he would fix it. 4 days later the charge has still not been refunded to my credit card. I have tried to message the hotel customer service through the "contact us" feature on my website, but this hotel management has been unresponsive.

This was my first experience as an IHG One Rewards member at an IHG property. You only have one opportunity to make a first impression, and this is a poor one. I expected more from a hotel at this price point and it is unlikely that I will consider IHG properties in the future when there are...

We stayed at the Countrypolitan for a recent weekend visit to Nashville, our first. This hotel has a distinct old-school charm that just reminds you of a great old city hotel. However, this doesn't mean is not modern in service. We stayed in a recently refurbished room and it was delightful; roomy, with a comfortable king bed, lovely furnishings and a nice-sized bathroom. The shower needs an extra prop as it was equipped with awesome fixtures. Our only gripe about the room was the view, which wasn't great, but considering how little time we spent in the room, it didn't matter (you can probably ask for a room with a decent view).

The staff was simply outstanding. This is something we noticed about most of the people we encountered who work in Nashville - their friendliness and helpfulness is contagious, no matter where you go. This hotel is no exception. One staff member I need to acknowledge is Lea, who works the restaurant/bar during the day. We had a group of ten and she treated everyone like old friends...make sure you say hello when you visit, she will keep you smiling. The hotel also provides live music in the lounge in the evening, so you can sit, relax, listen and have that last drink before turning in.

The location of the Countrypolitan is also excellent. The hotel is just a short walk from the river and only a couple of blocks from Broadway, where all the action is in Nashville. Driving can be a challenge in this town and parking, even here, can be pricey. But you can walk to so many attractions from the hotel, and getting a cab or ride share is easy. We did not have a vehicle while here, and it never hindered us from seeing many of the local sights.
