Irish Arts Center — Attraction in New York

Fresh and Modern Arts Center with much more. Theater, Museum Library with Bar/food/snack lounge. Handicap friendly with elevators. Multi floors. Spacious bathrooms. I went to see the "Good Vibrations" show. It was great! Great singing and acting. The whole experience. The friendly staff and comfortable lounge area with drink service. The theatre is comfortable and spacious. All seats have a clear view. This is a mid size theatre. I definitely want to go back again and visit the museum...

We visited tonight to see a performance of The Agreement, which we saw in its (and our) home theatre - The Lyric, in Belfast. Twice. Last year and this.

The theatre in the IAC is small and intimate. You really feel "part" of the performance. All of the actors gave of their best, and we had a great night out.

All that and a proper pint (double poured) of the Black Stuff and of Smithwicks in proper (20 oz) glasses instead of the wimpy 16 oz standard in USA.

I had never been here before attending a performance a few months ago of "I hear You and Rejoice", a one man show by Mikel Murfi, which was fabulous. The Center is a multi-artistic venue with performance (music, dance and theater), visual arts and education focus. I had never heard of the Center before attending the play, and confused it with the Irish Rep. (Almost went to the wrong place!) We had a wonderful evening and looking at the other offerings, I expect to attend...
