UNIQLO Skyview Center — Attraction in New York

Im really happy every time I walk into this Uniqlo. The staff here are very diverse and helpful. Everybody treats me so well here. ❤️ to be honest, I am obsessed with getting my clothes here, as opposed to the location in Soho, where the staff are so insufferable.

This location is located in the Skyview Mall, which has on-site paid parking (can get crowded between Friday to Sunday.) If you are paying with debit/credit card, there is also a separate self-checkout lane. Although this Uniqlo location is small, they carry all the popular items, as well as the basics. I've gotten the viral smart pleated pants, JW Anderson collab items, Mofusand collab items, as well as their amazing tank tops.

This location also does the custom alterations for pants lengths and I've been very impressed with the job quality. They don't alter the band size (ex if you gain or lose weight) but they do alter the length of the pants for a small fee or free, depending on the cost of the pants and type of stitching you want done.

I recommend going on a weekday (especially Monday to Wednesday to beat the crowds) and also early when the mall opens, or later in the day. I also recommend downloading the app in advanced because you get a sign up discount and also some of the clothing here have app-only sales....

The first time to UNIQLO specifically looking for UV protective clothing. It was very crowded on a Thursday afternoon likely due to the location and a pretty hot day.

I asked one salesperson (most of them are very young) about the upf rating of their top tees and he told me to check it out at their website as he does not aware that they are rated. I told him that " I am right now at the store and would be greatful if he could find out for me maybe asking the store manger " . As I was reading carefully everything on the label and found the upf rating of 25 on the light color one. I looked for the salesperson and told him that the upf rating was 25 on one of the labels. He then said that the manger confirmed it was 25. However, I found out that other darker colors have upf rating labels of 15 and 20. I really doubt he had asked his manager at all!

I simply walked out of the store.

If the salesperson in the store is not willing to help a customer or the store manager does not know the product information the store is selling and perhaps at worst in my case the salesperson lies to a customer, there is no point of any customer to buy anything from that...

Uniqlo is a very popular fast fashion brand from Japan with great quality and excellent prices. They have a number of staple products year-round, but also have a constant rotation of limited edition goods - many associated with famous artists, franchises (Marvel, etc.), Anime/Manga, Disney, etc. You can pay full price for your selection or take your changes that they'll sell out of your size/selection and wait till the items get heavily discounted.

Not sure what's going on with Uniqlo overall as they closed some of their locations in the US. Download and use their app for some quick discounts.
