First and foremost, I would like to comment on how beautiful this hotel is, the lobby is very beautiful and apparently itâs a new hotel. Iâve never been to Oklahoma City before but itâs conveniently located right off the interstate and I am tired and I wanted to stop somewhere nice for the night, it has a pool, a hot tub, a lobby bar a restaurant. Iâm sure it has a gym although Iâm not feeling well Iâve got the flu right now so I havenât seen it, it also has a spa. From the moment I pulled up in my car the valet experience was wonderful. The valets were so kind and so lovely to me, also like to mention the fabulous team at the front desk. I didnât like my room because it was on the floor that was really high and I wanted to lower floor so they switched it out for me with no problem. Letâs talk about the rooms- gorgeous!!! it looks like something out of a magazine. The bed is comfortable. The bathtub is the best part, itâs got a really big bathtub and I love that !! The decor, the color scheme, its quiet itâs peaceful. You donât hear anybody in the hallways. Everything is amazing so far, but I would like to do a special shout out about Jeremy from room service / guest services -I ordered the Chicken soup Iâve been dealing with the flu/upper respiratory infection for about a week and after being in a car for eight hours, I just wanted to feel better. I ordered the chicken soup. It was delicious, but it didnât have any crackers when I called downstairs they said they were out of them but a really kind hearted person whomever answers the room service phone heard me coughing and asked me if they could send me up any medicine. I asked if they could send me up some hot water with lemon because my throat was sore and I couldnât stop coughing.A lovely gentleman named Jeremy showed up he brought me dry toast. He brought me some hot water and lemon and honey and tea and he even found me some Pepto-Bismol and made me a care package with some little candies in it and some ginger tea for my nausea. â€ïž That is the kind of customer service that you expect when you go to a luxury hotel but he went above and beyond. He did it out of the kindness of his heart, and that was the kindest thing anyone has ever done for me. It made me cry, and it made me feel cared for. I want to tell you, Jeremy is an outstanding human being with the kindest heart I have ever met on any hotel property that I have ever stayed at. He is the epitome of class, grace, and what customer service and the customer experience should be. I am so grateful thank you Jeremy.â€ïž Every single employee I have encountered on this trip from the valet to the front desk to the gentleman that brought my bag up To the room service woman on the phone to Jeremy. I canât say enough good things about this hotel They care and treat you like family. This is your hotel. Itâs beautiful itâs luxurious and it makes you feel so cared for and welcome. Itâs the best experience Iâve ever had staying in any hotel in the world. Thank you...
Read moreTL;DR version: Our first night of 2 was hands down the worst night in a hotel we've experienced, the hotel's response was "that's unfortunate".
I wish I could leave a good review. My wife and I stayed here this past weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Upon arriving to the hotel, we discovered that the PIKE fraternity was having a national meeting there which meant that 600+ college boys wearing their dad's old suits were everywhere all over the hotel. They were spread across every floor which meant loud talking/yelling down the hallways and slammed doors at all hours of the night. That wasn't even the worst of it though, with over 600 people all moving through the hotel at the same time, the elevators could not keep up and so traveling from the 16th floor to the lobby or vis versa was often a 30 minute affair. Some of this the hotel could have prevented some not, so let's get to the poor service. Our first night the AC in our room did not work. The front desk sent a tech up to take a look at it and after nearly an hour of sitting awkwardly waiting for him to finish, he got it blowing cold... ish. Enough to where we thought we'd be able to sleep comfortably through the night. Wrong. An hour later it quit blowing cold again. It's the middle of the night at this point and the temp and humidity in the room is rising, and the occasional yelling and slammed door from the hallway (see first paragraph) is sealing our fate of no sleep. I called back to the front desk to report our issue and I'm offered a fan. Sure, I guess, I'd much rather have working AC, but I suppose the worlds loudest $10 box fan with a bent out of shape plug that I had to straighten out by hand just to get it running is all you get for a $250/night room. Apparently no other rooms are available. I call the front desk again at 8 am, magically a new room is available that wasn't 6 hours earlier? I'd have gladly packed my bags and moved just to get a couple hours sleep. We went to the spa for a couples massage, which was great, but we'd purchased spa credit when we booked our room, but the hotel and spa don't communicate, so the spa charged our card for the full amount without using the credit we'd already purchased which caused another issue we had to deal with instead of just being able to enjoy our weekend. To add insult to injury, when talking with guest services about all these issues when checking out, the only response was, "Well that's unfortunate, what room was the AC issue in? We need to make sure we fix that. Here's your...
Read moreThis hotel has so much potential with the location and amenities, but was a disaster from the time we showed up until we left. It took us over 30 minutes just to pull up to the valet due to lack of valet staff.
We were nearly late to the OKC Thunder game we came to town to attend due to valet/check-in taking forever. After the game we came back to the Tap House for a drink and that was a mistake. I understand the bar was crowded due to people coming in after the game but the bartenders and staff weren't even attempting to wait on anyone. The entire bar was surrounded and while we waited approximately 40 minutes I saw the two bartenders make maybe three drinks and completely ignore everyone around the bar until they all slowly left empty handed.
The next morning we called for our car from valet while we were eating breakfast which was about a two hour ordeal due to the lazy workers and being understaffed at Seltzer's. It took valet 45 minutes to pull our car around making us late to our planned activities for the day.
Upon arrival back at the hotel around 1:30 we went back to the Tap House to give them another chance. We were seated immediately and we ordered a burger and a beers. The burger came out in good time and I had finished it before we received our drinks. We asked our waitress over five times for our drinks (bottled beers) that took over an hour to get. We had friends come to our table and were never waited on for over 30 minutes and had to walk to the lobby bar to get a drink.
The next morning on the day of our checkout we decided to order room service for breakfast to avoid the two hour Seltzer's mess. We ordered at 8:00 am and asked the wait time when we placed the order. They informed us it would take approximately 30-45 minutes which we were fine with. After an hour we called to check on the order and were put on hold then hung up on. After finally talking to someone they said it would be up in 10 minutes. After another 15 minutes they called us and asked what we had ordered and told us they lost our order. We canceled the order packed up and left.
I had stayed here previously when it had first opened and the service was the same. I thought they were just getting settled and all the kinks worked out so we gave them another shot.
This is the worst managed "Luxury" hotel I have ever been to and will...
