Rock'it Lanes — Attraction in Panama City Beach

I had a terrible experience with this establishment. While the business did have wonderful amenities and a kid friendly environment, I had the worst experience with the staff. Myself and a friend brought food in with us, but when I got to the table to sit my food down, someone from the staff came up to me and asked that I take the food outside because no outside food or drinks were allowed inside the establishment. I willingly proceeded to follow her direction and grabbed up my food to take back outside to the car. No one notified my friend about her food, so I went over to her to let her know that we had to eat our food outside because of the policy. On my way out, I went over to my 4 year old son to give him his play card and to let him know that I was having to step outside for a moment and that my brother would be there with him to help him play the games while I was gone. My son then asks me to show him how to play the game that he currently was on, all while the food and drink was in my hands because I was headed out the door, so I was trying to give him quick directions so that I could exit, but before I could even do that, a “manager” approached me telling me that I needed to exit the building immediately because of the outside food, and I replied to her by saying yes ma’am, another lady just came up to me and asked me to exit but I was trying to get my 4 year old son settled before doing so. Instead of her hearing me out and being understanding, she over talks me and says that they were watching me the entire time and I was trying to play the games instead of leaving, but that was definitely not the case whatsoever because if it was, I would’ve never picked my food up off of the table and had it in my hands. All of this happened all while no one ever approached my friend about her outside food that she brought in the same time as me. Truthfully speaking, I did curse at the lady because she threatened to call the police on me. I felt targeted because I literally was following the initial direction that I received as was making an effort to leave the establishment to go eat in the car. The police arrived and took statements from myself and a DIFFERENT employee/manager about the ordeal and he informed me that I was not allowed back inside the establishment again. I was okay with that decision but I wanted to see about getting my refund for the money that I spent purchasing the play card that my son wasn’t able to finish using. The officer informed that I should call the business and ask to speak to the owner because he would be the only one to assist me in that matter. I took the officers advice and called the establishment on the next business day. The lady who came out to give the statement to the officer picked up the phone and told me that the owner doesn’t take phone calls, so I would have to send an email, and I just felt even more infuriated. I just feel like the management could be so much better and I’m not one to ever try to discredit a business, but the service was absolutely terrible and I highly do not recommend anyone attend this establishment due to the poor...

I turned in my game card along with tokens and cards. The employee told me I had 7050 points. I was waiting for the rest of my party to finish and when we were done we came back in for them to cash out their tickets. Again they told me I had 7050 points. I had my card in my possession and was shopping. My daughter and granddaughters combined their cards for a total of 17048 points and then they were also shopping. We gathered up the things that we wanted to purchase with our points and when my daughter got up to the cash register to purchase her things with her points, they told her that she had a zero balance. Knowing just five minutes prior to that they told her she had over 17,000 points. At the same time, I was checking out with another cashier and they told me that I had 17,048 points. So obviously they made some sort of mistake which they shouldn’t have because they should’ve never even had my card associated with hers at all. My guess is they still had my card pulled up on their computer from where they checked my balance. In the meantime, they had a shift change. The two new employees that were working just stood there and stared at us and did nothing. They said they weren’t willing to do anything and it’s not their problem. So we asked for a manager, and I will have to say that was the worst management experience that I have ever dealt with. He literally would not even listen to us at all. Basically he didn’t care what what we had to say and he only gave us a total of 17,048 pounts instead of 24,097. The two men that were previously working, then showed up and literally would not own up to anything. I asked them multiple times what happened and they kept saying we did what you told us to do. And other than that, they would not speak. It was not true. I never gave them my card at all for them to put my daughter’s points on there and if I did then we still should’ve had the total amount, not just her 17,098. We were just absolutely disappointed in the way that the situation was handled. Did we need the stuff from their gift shop? No not really but it was just the principal. We are on vacation and we went there yesterday to bowl and then today to do the arcade. So in the last two days my family has spent almost $800 in this establishment, only to be treated as though we were liars and as though we were trying to con them out of prizes. Your employees made a mistake and then your management did nothing about it. As a matter of fact, your management wouldn’t even listen to us. Your employees were rude and so was your manager. Needless to say we will not ever be returning when we’re here again on vacation. On a side note, I wish I had his name, but I would like to give a shout out to the gentleman who had to come and fix a couple of the machines for us because he was wonderful. I don't usually write reviews but I feel the horrible service at this place has warranted this review- This is the 3rd weekend in a row my husband and I have taken our son to rocket lanes to bowl needless to say we haven't bowled a game yet. The kids* running the bowling area let all of there friends go on up to the lanes to bowl and ignore the waiting list they have in front of them.. very disappointing... Last weekend was our son's birthday and all he wanted to do was bowl..we were initially told an hour and a half to 2 hours wait time that was no problem our son went and played some games and had fun, we went up to the counter 2 and a half hours later to ask the boy at the counter about our spot on the list and an approx time frame.. he said oh about another hour maybe 2 and a half hours.... At this point we said um ok but we have already been with almost 3 hours.. he said yea yea were pretty slammed ya know...you probably won't get to bowl today you might want to come back tomorrow.. with how rude he was we left -might I add we arrived at 6pm WE LEFT AT 940PM... Never bowled one single game but yet countless times lanes opened up and his friends came to the counter and straight to the lane WITHOUT PAYING AT THAT- no one's name on the list was called out within the time that we waited...we went here again tonight.. same boy working same thing happened again... we have been waiting to bowl since 530 pm, it is now 1050pm and our name has never been called but yet all of this boys friends have bowled countless games for free and we have watched numerous people come up to the counter and be turned away but yet all of his friends he lets in and lets them bowl all night..we have yet to bowl a single game and are now leaving... this is has been our experience the past 3 weekends in a row... I don't know his name as he isn't wearing a name tag but the blonde boy in the purple shirt with earrings at the bowling counter on Saturday night Jan 27th 2024 should be fired- he is stealing profits from the company and cheating paying customers out of their time and a fun experience-he is also very rude with an awful attitude..SIDE NOTE:the games are fun overpriced but fun for kids and adults- avoid the food unless you want to be sick tomorrow- bar area is fantastic great drinks reasonable prices, skating is reasonably priced-...
