A decaying shell of its former self. In the past few years all the big name outlet stores that were here have moved a few miles down the road to the Tanger Outlets in Sevierville. The very large, upper left building is now completely empty. Everyone has moved out and the wooden stairs to the top level are beginning to rot due to no maintenance. The property was bought by new owners in 2021 and it is sad to see how much this place has gone downhill in just the past several years. Maybe they plan to burn it down for the insurance money and/or let it rot and then erect a hotel on the property? Who knows, but it certainly doesn't look like they care about maintaining the place or getting any new businesses in. There are still a few small businesses in parts of the property, but pretty much all of the big name stores have abandoned this fast-sinking ship. It is sad to see.
If you are interested in this location, make sure to take a close look at the date of the photos and reviews. The older they are, the more likely they will show or mention stores that are no longer there. A case in point is a "local reviewer" who posted a review a week ago lamenting that he "couldn't find the corningware Corelle store". Well, that's because like a lot of other big name outlet stores that were formerly at the Pigeon Forge Factory Outlet Mall, it moved to Tanger Outlet a while back. (Although it isn't there any more either.)
P.S. Many of the Google reviews claiming to be for the Pigeon Forge Factory Outlet Mall are for different places altogether. While quickly glancing through some of the most positive ones I found several reviews for the Tanger Outlet stores down the road in Sevierville, as well as several others for a number of places located a mile or so away at The Island in Pigeon Forge. Same thing with the posted photos. Many of the photos are of stores that aren't at Pigeon Forge Factory Outlet Mall - including the top photo posted under "overview" of the location on Google Maps. That store ISN'T at Pigeon Forge Factory Outlet Mall, it is at The Island. (I've reported this to Google a couple of times over a couple of years, but they apparently don't care about accurate information, so the photo of a totally different place...
Read moreThis was a really great and new experience for me. I've never been to a dinner show. First let me start off with they're doing everything they can to abide by CDC guidelines, all the servers wore masks, they were even shields in between seats to help with social distancing, and temperature took at entrance. The show is really fun and exciting, wasn't expecting animals that was an awesome plus! The dinner served was good, but kind of hard to follow the storyline of the show...servers were coming out every 5-10 minutes to put something else on your plate. I did have to wait quite a while to get my cocktail, but the drink prices were very fair. The acrobatics were amazing, overall a really fun experience!!!! This is definitely something I would enjoy doing again especially after vaccinated! It's something I'll never forget!!!! Even went ahead and bought the pictures that they take of you when you come in, turned out really nice...
Read more10 to 12 years ago this used to be one of the best places to shop. Every one of the stores was open, thriving, and truly was an outlet. Over the years the mall has been neglected and it's a health hazard to even walk around certain parts of it. There may be three or four stores in the whole Mall now. We don't know if the owners tried to overcharge for the spaces and so stores left and/or maintenance was neglected. Such a waste. They basically use the parking lots now for event parking. If you do want to park and shop at the few stores that are left they give you a time limit to use their parking space! I just have to say that the owners must be...
