Kristina Knouse A Review on The Infinite Atonement Want to work on becoming a better person or coming closer to Christ? As members of church we understand that the atonement of Jesus Christ is a central point in the plan that God has or each and every one of us. With that thought in mind I decided I needed to learn more about it to be able to better apply it to my life. Tad R Callister has written the perfect book to gain a deeper understanding of such a profound topic. In The Infinite Atonement, Tad R Callister expands on each part of the atonement; why it was necessary, who it is for, what it covers, how it applies to us. Basically anything you want to know about the sacrifice the savior made for us he has covered it with scriptures and quotes by other church leaders to back it up. With such an incredible source of information, I have been able to strengthen my testimony and faith in Christ. One of my favorite quotes of his is, “If the Atonement is the foundation of our faith (and it is), then no one should be content with a casual acquaintance of this doctrine. Instead, the Atonement should be paramount in our intellectual and spiritual pursuits.” (Callister) I feel like it's true, that the atonement should be the foundation of our faith and therefore this book is a good one to read as well as to study. However I should warn you that it is not an easy read, but one of deep doctrine and intense diction, but it is...
Read moreJust go on Walmart for a better CTR ring. They are much cheaper! Wish I did that instead way sooner. I got a single CTR ring from them for $39.99. Incredibly overpriced, I know :( But I got it because they had the warranty on it. When I got it, they told me that for the warranty to work, I would have to bring back the same ring to get it warranted. So I returned 7 months later to get the warranty and trade my old one for a new one. Gave them the ring, and they said that because it wasn't broken or torn, I couldn't get another new ring. I also couldn't get a different design or color, even though all of them were the same price. It didn't make sense for them not to warranty out since those rings cost pennies to make. Also, if that is the case, anyone can destroy or rip their ring just for the warranty. Overall, I didn't feel like they were trying to serve or make the customer happy. I disagree with the warranty policy, and also the fact that you can't get any other colors of the ring.
I walked away feeling like I wasted $40 on a cheap rubber ring that cost 10 cents to make. As well as the poor customer service I got. I wouldn't recommend getting the ring there; just save the hassle and frustration and get...
Read moreLove this store, plenty of floor space for everything, from art to books to small knick-knacks for the LDS/missionary crowd. There are places to lounge and experience the merchandise before making the commitment because this is a niche market, so the costs are high.
The staff is always helpful, kind, and eager to help. Get Florence's chocolates here, freshest since Florence's is right here in Rexburg. This location has the deeper books and some books I have never seen in other stores. Too many locations have either dropped the ancient history/doctrinal section, or have greatly reduced it. Thankfully this is a Church of Jesus Christ LDS college town so these things are in demand.
Jewelry, medallions, toys and kids books, sweets galore, scriptures, a nice clearance section. You really cannot...
