I had previously posted a review regaurding the physical assault i suffered at the hands of a bouncer that works here. I feel as though I need to give a little more information and some photos. My and my partner went here to see a drag show. We had a great time and stayed until it was over. As we were leaving my partner needed to use the restroom. So she headed towards the bathrooms as I waited near the door. My memory is a little fuzzy in between this and being pushed backwards out of the front door, most likely due to the concussion and loss of consciousness I was about to suffer. I do not remember saying anything to this guy, being asked to leave, nothing... Upon reflection the best theories I have are that I somehow lost my footing and stumbled into him or maybe someone pushed me into him or even maybe I mistook him for a friend and tried to give him a hug as a greeting... I'm not sure. I am sure that I didn't want to fight this guy and I would have been a fool if I did as he probably had 100+ lbs on me haha Anyways, my partner heads towards the bathroom and in the next minute or so this guy ends up pushing me backwards out of the club throws me on the ground then proceeds to sit ontop of me and punch me repeatedly in the face/head. Even as he was pushing me out the door i remember thinking this must be my friend or something trying to be funny... I had absolutely no idea this guy was the bouncer and that he was about to brutally beat me. This resulted in 4 broken teeth a serious corneal abrasion and bruising all over my body. I will include photos of my injuries. The bouncer did not have a single scratch on him. Not even a scuff on his shoes. You can believe my story or not... that really doesn't matter, what matters is that I was assaulted by their bouncer. I have done everything I can to get the police to proceed with charges but It doesn't seem like they are going to do anything to help me. Whykiki claims they had no footage of the incident (There are cameras clearly visible that should have captured...
Read moreI never leave bad reviews. But after last night I have to. First, drag bingo was awesome! BUT — the bartenders. Ugh. Have they ever bartended before? Like, ever? I asked what kind of wine they had. The gal rattled off some options, but some of them were not even wine. She then follows it up with “we have other white and BLACK wines.” What is she even talking about? I then order a glass. Already a very small glass, and she only fills it half way. Just a bit more than a shot! Does she know the difference between liquor, beer and wine?? Who is hiring these folks, let alone training? And don’t ask for a neat whiskey. You will have it shaken with ice (witnessed that while ordering my wine). For the amount they charge for drinks ($12 for Makers!) they should at least hire people that know what they are doing. This was my 2nd time here, and I just can’t go back. Love watching (and tipping very well) at the drag shows. Amazing! But I work too hard for my money. The bar situation is awful. Please. Hire people that know what they are doing. Or TRAIN them. They are just kids that have no idea what they are doing. Black wine? Please, tell me. What is that? And getting a possible pour of 2-3 ounces?!?! I know we are in Utah. But that is 2-3 ounces less than a legal pour. I will stick to my local neighborhood pubs where they actually care if I come back. So disappointing.
UPDATE; Just noticed the owner or management reply. First, I was not part of a “group”. There were 2 of us. Except when we ordered our drinks we did not talk to anyone in the establishment and certainly not about our experience. But I will say it again - the show was awesome. Your bartenders, not so much. If you are going to be rude to people that leave you an honest review, lying on top of that does not do you any favors. But, looking at your other comments, it’s not surprising. I’ll gladly take my money and see...
Read moreSo disappointed 😞 Everyone really hyped this place up and I’m not sure why . Definitely not upscale . Everything from the outside decor to the inside looks cheap. Service was slow, drinks are expensive and have way too much sugar it almost made me sick. We sat in the outside lounge and the chairs were so uncomfortable plus the table was so uneven we couldn’t even play the Jenga they provided. Wasn’t even tipsy but the gravel they used had me falling all over the place in my heels. Won’t come back ...
Inresponse to the immature owner
I actually have several reviews that are 3 stars and above. I rate to my experience which is what a customer is supposed to do
Looking at other reviews left, you seem to only want to rudely respond to customers who have given you a low rating and rarely respond to those who surprisingly like your established.
The definition of upscale - relatively expensive and designed to appeal to affluent consumers which your bar is not
It was not my choice to sit outside but rather the only option given to us because several tables were “reserved” so there was not “ample” seating the night my friends and I came.
We did ask your staff for suggestions and she didn’t seem to know your menu very well so it was left to us to make a decision. Every drink on the menu is full of sugar and has weird combined ingredients. I apologize if I wanted to come to a new bar and try a new drink . Definitely my mistake
I would have been willing to give your place another try. However, being a business owner there are better ways to approach your customers negative experiences and you did not handle this well . Wishing you...
