⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ripley’s Believe It or Not! San Antonio is hands down one of the best and coolest experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment you step inside, it’s an explosion of strange, fascinating, and mind-blowing exhibits that will keep you entertained the whole way through.
Located right in the heart of downtown San Antonio, it’s just steps away from iconic spots like The Alamo, the San Antonio River Walk, and Historic Menger Hotel. Whether you’re a tourist or a local, this is a can’t-miss destination that adds a fun twist to your day out.
One of the wildest things I saw was a Mini Cooper covered completely in Swarovski crystals — yes, real crystals sparkling from bumper to bumper. It honestly took my breath away. I did notice a few crystals were missing, but that just added to the authentic, “Ripley’s-style” character of it all. It was like a living piece of glittery history.
The entire museum is filled with oddities from around the world, including shrunken heads, optical illusions, interactive games, bizarre sculptures, and a vortex tunnel that’ll throw off your balance (and maybe your dignity) in the best way possible.
Although I think it would be awesome if they rotated in new exhibits every so often to keep things fresh, the existing lineup is still absolutely worth the visit. It’s fun, informative, and a perfect activity for families, couples, solo adventurers, or anyone who loves the weird and wonderful.

If you’re looking for something unique, interactive, and full of “wow” moments, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! San Antonio totally delivers. I’ll definitely be back — and I hope they keep the...
Read moreI have to say, this experience was memorable and I had a great time. However the mistakes cannot be overlooked, before I begin with the negatives, I want to say the staff was beyond helpful and you could see that they really enjoyed their job. At least I hope they did right? We had a friend that was in a wheelchair and they made it very accessible for us to get in to place to place. Attractions were awesome, some of the stuff that I had seen there. I had never seen anywhere else. Took us about 3 hours to get through the whole thing so really felt like we were trying to get our money's worth taking time to look into all the sights and attraction.
This place is not perfect, however, broken animatronics, very overpriced, and it really feels like once you've seen it once. You don't really feel the need to go back. Back. Some of the attractions especially into Ripley's illusion felt very half baked and even though I could see why they would have a concept like that when it makes you pull out your phone to take photos just to make the illusion work. It takes away from the allure of the experience because it's kind of like well if I have to pull out my phone to make an experience work then there's really no experience!
The gift shop is full of knick knacks that you can pretty much find throughout the city with the exception of certain Ripley's items that you can find within the gift shop. It's very overpriced and I don't recommend it. The wax museum is cool if you like celebrities which I don't. Overall I would say this is a place that I would recommend for a first timer who has never been to any of the Ripley's attractions anywhere in the US like myself. But I don't see myself ever coming back here knowing what it...
Read moreWe loved this attraction! Facilities were clean, the price was high but I feel it is worth it (we didn't actually pay, but got free tickets through a time share presentation.... don't fall for them, just go to Ripley's and pay! It's worth it!) If you have very young children, the first room of the Odditorium may be scary, (it took 20 minutes to convince our 4 yr old to walk through!) so I'd recommend doing the wax museum first to get them used to the idea of life-like figures. Take the time to read all the labels and stories! Obviously, these relics are from another era, and some collection items are disturbing or not completely culturally sensitive, but I think it is great that the Odditorium is preserved "as is", like a glimpse into the life of a collector from Ripley's era.
If you get motion sickness, you can pass around the outside of the "Dizzy Tunnel". You will know what I'm talking about when you see it! I loved it, one of my fav parts. Our 4 and 6 yr olds did not! I recommend letting small children test it out only one step in, otherwise they get stuck in the middle and may freak out.
If you want to save money and you have small kids, I'd say skip the wax museum and 3D ride. The Odditorium is quite a bit for a little one's senses to process, the Wax Museum has a scary downstairs that you SHOULD NOT take the little ones through, so it may be too stressful for some families to do all 3. My kids really loved the 3D...
