I want to start with the positive because overall we did have a fun experience and managed to escape. The staff were very nice and were right on schedule. The theme was fun and had multiple rooms which was cool. However I couldn’t give it 5 stars because we were a bit disappointed for a few reasons. First of all we did not realize it was located within a bar. It was kind of weird walking in and seeing where we were. With people in our group who are sober we likely would not have chosen to come here had we known it was in a bar and would have felt equally uncomfortable if we had children. The escape room itself was cool and had a fun theme but was in serious need of updates. For some reason it was super hot inside, we were all sweating and this was in the winter! Oddly when the rules were explained to us it seemed like a lot of things were revealed to us (i.e. how many different rooms there would be and how we would get into them). This kind of took away from the experience because those are some of the best surprises in an escape room. A lot of the props were kind of rough and we were told to be very careful because so many of the props were old and fragile. Two of our puzzles we solved very quick but they malfunctioned and did not perform as they were supposed to. There’s no audio in the room so the game master wasn’t aware that there was a glitch. We had a feeling we were right the first times bc we could hear clicking noises when we tried it but nothing happened so we figured we were wrong. After wasting several minutes and trying other things we asked for a hint and learned what we had initially done was correct and that it just was malfunctioning. Obviously we still got out and had time to spare but it was disappointing knowing we would have made it out a lot faster had the puzzles responded when we first tried them. Another thing is that it was counted as one of our clues that we asked for help despite the fact that it was just the technology not working. We did have fun and seems like a cool place to go if you were hanging out drinking, but as people who regularly do escape rooms this was disappointing. I think putting a little money into some updates would go a long way into making this...
Read moreThis place is amazing wasn't my first time visiting, and also not the first time I've done this escape room specifically. A couple things did change since my last visit back in 2019, which is great to keep up the novelty of the room for repeat visitors (like myself). I was luckily able to do a walk in booking for my group, but I do highly suggest booking online to guarantee your spot and your room. If you're ever early and don't want to leave to waste time, no worries, they have a ton of games to keep you entertained! Giant Jenga, giant Scrabble, chess, checkers, a couple of other games we didn't pay attention to and one little puzzle where you roll a ball into a hole that took all of our attention because it was way more difficult than it looked. Also, if you visit any other day than a Sunday, then there's...
Read moreYou will definitely need a reservation so call as far in advance as possible and be prepared to prepay. Have played many games over the years at several different venues. This was one of the best. Game was private so there were only our group of three playing. Puzzle was very challenging but not impossible to solve with a little nudge from the friendly game master. Facility was clean and game room fit the theme nicely.
In addition to the games they have a lounge with a full service bar on the premises which was a nice touch. That’s the first time I’ve seen that.
Customer service was top notch. We were supposed to have five in our group but two canceled due to illness and the venue refunded us for those two tickets. Will definitely play again next time...
