Trail Series, Part 25 While there are many opportunities to access the Elliott Bay Trail, we prefer to enter at the corner of Alaskan Way and Broad Street. This trail is entirely paved, really flat, well traveled, and offers terrific views of the downtown Seattle skyline, Elliott Bay, and the Space Needle. It welcomes walkers/runners, cyclists, and leashed dogs. Although the trail has portions that are to be shared by walkers/runners and cyclists, there are also portions where those paths are bifurcated and run parallel to one another. While this distinction may not be significant to many, it certainly is to some. Dana and I haven’t forgotten our first run on this trail several years ago. Apparently we had ventured onto the bicycle section at one point and someone (who we spontaneously labeled “angry bike guy”) immediately unleashed a quite loud and profane verbal tirade upon us. 🤬 While this trail probably isn’t your best option if you’re seeking a quiet and serene venue for a walk/run/ride, the sunset opportunities here are tremendous. We hope that you choose to try this trail when you’re in Seattle. If you do, just be aware that “angry bike guy” might still be lurking somewhere with that super short fuse of his already lit. 🧨😳 And that’s…Henry’s Take. #seattletrails #seattlerunning #angrybikeguy

Beautiful trail. Rented some scooters and zipped down the whole trail. Great views of the ocean and city. Also a neat look at Expedia’s beautiful campus near the end of the trail. Great paths separated for walking or cycling.

An easy stroll along the waterfront, beautiful views of the water and the space needle. I was there on a Saturday late afternoon and it was very busy.

Elliott Bay Trail is an absolute must-visit, especially on a sunny day! Whether you're walking, biking, scootering, or strolling with your dog, this trail has something for everyone. The views are stunning, with the Olympic Mountains in the distance, public art installations, and the gorgeous waterfront.

You can stop to eat by the pier, watch the boats, or even try your hand at fishing. It's a perfect mix of nature, activity, and relaxation. Truly one of Seattle's...

This is a nice walking trail with beautiful views. I went here while visiting Washington and was satisfied with my experience. This is a paved trail that runs alongside Elliott Bay from Belltown, and it’s in a small park for its entirety. It goes by the Olympic Sculpture Park, which has multiple abstract sculptures to see, and Pocket Beach, a beautiful, albeit small, rocky beach. I gave this trail five stars because it has beautiful views of Elliott Bay...
