We arrived to this hotel on a Friday night and it was clearly run down and not like the pictures on the website. We checked in and went to our first room which was an ADA accessible room. The floor had not been vacuumed, the light on the wall didn't work, there was hair in the fridge and something, not sure what it was, was stuck in the freezer. We asked for another room and was moved closer to the front desk. That room smelled musty and like old smoke even though we specifically booked a non smoking room. Went back to the front desk again and the clerk argued with me that the room was non smoking, that they had just changed them over and moved me again. She said if we didn't like it she would "check us out." The room was next door to the previous one and smelled the same. We decided to just deal with it since it was just for 2 nights. The room was okay, outdated, but I honestly expected that. The outside of the hotel had trash along the walkway and was very unkempt. The room I booked was supposed to be 2 queen beds but it was 2 double beds instead. The headboards were still on the wall and that of queen size. The door to the bathroom hit the bed closest to it. Since this was still an ADA room, I don't know how anyone with a wheelchair would have been able to get through to the bathroom - there just wasn't enough room. In the bathroom, there was no place to hang the towels after using them. The bars in the tub were positioned so that if you were showering, they didn't help you. They would only help if you were taking a bath. The step inside the bath was pretty deep as well, which wouldn't have been helpful if you were really in need of a walk in shower. There was a lot of rust on the ceiling in the bathroom and it was in need of some serious repairs. The bed was actually decent to sleep in, which was surprising. The pool was open all hours of the night and when we pulled in late at night after exploring around, there was a lot of people at the fire pit and in the pool which was making a lot of noise (still at 1am). The parking is atrocious and even though we had an ADA sticker for our car, there was NO parking and we had to walk from the very far back lot. There were people without ADA stickers parking in front of our room. There was even a truck taking up 4 parking spaces. It was very loud outside and with people being on the balconies and next to us, it was unpleasant. The walls were very thin and we could hear the people in the next room. Which, was the same room I had checked out the first night, and they just went ahead and put someone in there after I had been in there and messed with the bed checking for bugs. The breakfast was not open even though they were still advertising it on their website and on their marquee sign. No discount was given for that either. Overall, I would never recommend this place and I will never stay...
Read moreWouldn't recommend. I've faced issues since I arrived the first night . I arrived with a trailer , reason being of having a trailer is because I'm traveling across country. I was told by reception woman the first night I'd have to move my 6x12 trailor as the next morning as the next two days will be fully booked and it's only one space per room. The following morning I spoke with another receptionist and asked since I can only use one parking space would it be okay to leave the trailer there (that doesn't even take a full space up) and I'll move the van instead. Everything was okay by her. I arrive back to the hotel at 10:30pm and get a call at 11pm by the same receptionist from the first night telling me that I have to remove the trailer or check out of the hotel. I tried to explain to her that I spoke with the other receptionist that morning but the rude woman wouldn't let me get a word in. She was completely rude and inconsiderate, even when I tried to agree to move the trailer but still tried to explain that I spoke with the other receptionist that morning. Since I've arrived at this hotel it has caused me nothing but worry, upset, and stress. I tried to call directly for help with days inn customer service and they couldn't help me they tried saying it's in there policy and it's not! We tried to move the trailor that night but couldn't as a truck was actually taking up two spaces. We had to wait until the following morning ,We then moved the trailor across the and parked at Walgreens as the manager would allow after we explained our story, to be told when we got back to the hotel that the manager that we never spoke to or seen had authorised a check out for us 1 day before our actual check out and said we should of been checked out at 11am. This left us stressed trying to find somewhere to stay last minute on a Saturday. I was lucky I booked through a vacation site that was able to fix our reservation in a better class hotel. All of this because of a trailor that didn't even take up a whole space and the car park wasnt actually full. I've photos to prove. I've never in my life came across such a badly ran hotel. They are a disgrace and how they are still in business is beyond me. How they can keep the staff they have. Also I'll add in that I woke up with a leg full of bug bites. Before booking I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere , I would even prefer pitching a tent if no where else was available. What a kip of a place. There's no words to even describe the people in the place I've dealt with !! Below I've pictures showing my trailor didn't take up a full space, the truck in the way of me trying to move the trailer at 11:30pm at night and also the extra spaces available that I would of been able to park or anyone else to check in that...
Read moreWe had to change rooms twice because in the first two rooms I found BEDBUGS! I took photos (of the bedbugs) in the first room and if the site will allow me, I will upload it to this review. When I showed it to the lady in the office she said they had not had any complaints before and she did not even know what a bedbug looked like. I showed her the picture on my phone and she apologized and gave us another room (on the first floor as well.) She told me they would have an exterminator to come take care of the problem. In the second room, the first thing I did was to check for bedbugs and sure enough, I found them! I captured two in a small plastic cup and took them to the office and gave it to her. She offered to refund our money but it was very late at night and our room had been pre-paid on a friends credit card. We decided to try a room on the third floor. I inspected both beds and found no bedbugs in that one. The mattresses & pillows were very comfortable. The hotel seemed quiet for the most part and we were not disturbed. Breakfast was not being offered due to Covid restrictions. I know hotels often have problems with bedbugs, due to the very nature of the business so I was prepared not to hold that against them until….. We had checked in late on a Wednesday and Friday morning we discovered they had already RENTED OUT THE ROOM we had moved from because of the BEDBUGS! That morning my husband had gone to the office because he had misplaced an item… he thought it might have been left in the first room we moved from. He asked if he could look in that room and the employee told him it was occupied. He reminded her that the room had bedbugs. She told him they had looked and they hadn’t seen any. IMO this is inexcusable! It wasn’t just my word, I’d actually shown a photo of the bedbugs to her and I’d told her I had used Google lens on the photo and it identified it as a bedbug. My husband went to the room and the man was exiting with his luggage. He asked him if he had found the missing item and the man replied that he hadn’t. He then told him that we had moved from that room due to seeing the bedbug. I sure hope none hitched a ride home...
