Birthday Breakfast! Everytime I have visited Lake George I make sure to have breakfast here! Such a great view especially this time of year! $20 breakfast buffet, 3 and under free! Made this the cheapest breakfast we had in lake george! (Buffet style and omlet bar only on select days!) 📍White Lion Room Fort Willi Henry Hotel Lake George, NY #lakegeorgeny #fortwilliamhenryhotel #travelwithkids #birthdaybreakfast #travelingwithatoddler #adirondacks #lakegeorge #familyroadtrip #breakfastinlakegeorge #thingstodolakegeorge

We had the pleasure of having our wedding hosted at the Carriage House in August 2023, the newly renovated wedding venue space at Fort William Henry Hotel, and we couldn't have asked for a more magical experience! From the moment we began planning, the wedding coordination team at Fort William Henry Hotel impressed us with their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm for making our special day perfect. They were incredibly responsive and accommodating, answering all of my questions promptly and working seamlessly with our vendors to ensure everything ran smoothly on the day of (including a vendor that hung disco balls from the ceiling to accepting delivery of icecream cakes from the local grocery store!) The ceremony and reception set up were executed flawlessly, exactly as we had requested. We brought in a lot of DIY decor elements, and the team did an exceptional job of arranging everything beautifully, even consolidating it for easy pick up the day after the wedding. It was such a relief to know that I could trust them to handle all the day of details with care and precision. I also opted to rent the private space on the second floor of the Carriage House for getting ready with my bridal party, and it was the perfect choice. The spacious area provided a comfortable and luxurious environment for hair and makeup preparations, with the added convenience of a large bathroom. The breakfast setup was a lovely touch, allowing us to start the day off right with delicious food. And let's not forget about the breathtaking backdrop of Lake George for our ceremony. The picturesque view added to the beauty of our vows, creating memories that will last us a lifetime. Overall, our experience at Fort William Henry Hotel exceeded all expectations, thanks to the exceptional service, stunning venue, and attention to detail provided by the FWH team. We are truly grateful for their role in making our wedding day absolutely perfect.

So I'll start my review by saying that the staff was good and nice. They worked with me and my issue once I mentioned it to them and handled it professionally. I have stayed here a few times before and was satisfied with my stay but this time around I was extremely disappointed. Coming from a pandemic, I would believe that a hotels #1 priority is cleanliness however I found very little of that during my stay. I stayed in the king room with jetted tub and as a general overview when you first walk into the room, it looks fairly clean however, once you look a little closer you begin to notice everything. The carpets looked like the never saw a vacuum, counters had dirt and food crumbs still on them and the worst part, the jetted tub. I've stayed at numerous hotels wit jetted tubs ranging from high end to low end and I have always been pleasantly surprised however, I was extremely dissatisfied with this one. You would think that the main attraction for the room, being the jetted tub, that it would be spotless but that expectation quickly dissipated. Pubic hair (yes pubic hair) on the tub floor, large clumps of women's hair in the filter and what looked to be candle wax and food crumbs around the trim of the tub and on the walls. I did NOT even use the tub ( the main reason for the room) because I was so grossed out to go into it. Although the hotel is not pricey, I figure paying a higher premium for an above average room would result in the most basic things such as cleanliness being spot on. I love Lake George but i'm disappointed something that should have been the #1 priority fell so short of being acceptable. I hope they change the cleaning procedures up soon because the hotel at one point was extremely pleasant and the location still is excellent.

Hotel is very overpriced and not clean. Definitely not worth the stay. We will not stay here again! Recently stayed here and paid $384 per night for our room. The room had huge spiders as we searched the room we noticed under the beds they were broke, stained, and full of dust and food. After seeing that it’s not surprising the room had bugs. They moved us to another room at 1145pm only to have bugs and still filthy. We called down to management and they had housekeeping come in and do a deep clean. Which it should have already had considering we paid $880 for two nights. Now on breakfast- our toast and potatoes came out burnt. When I ask the waitress for different potatoes she asked what was wrong. I showed her the burnt potatoes and she replied is it on all or just a few? Does it matter they’re burnt. The management didn’t make any effort to make this up to us. We still paid full price and had a horrible stay. See pics for proof of the horrible stay we had. Save your money and find a nicer place to stay.

Stayed for a night at the end of September. The rooms are clean and we had a fireplace which was nice. All the staff were very friendly and the grounds beautiful. We would absolutely stay again. Should also note they were one of the only hotels taking one night reservations when we stayed but were happy with how it worked out! Update: Stayed again in February 2023 and everything was perfect. This time we had our children and stayed in the east wing. It was newly remodeled, clean, and had the same great lake views. It was opening weekend of the winter fest and we were able to watch the fireworks right from our room! I spoke with Christy a few times before arriving and she was absolutely wonderful. She was able to arrange the rooms so we were right next to my sister’s family which was perfect for the kids to go back and forth. This was also the first time using the pool and that could definitely use some updates eventually but was great for keeping the kids entertained.

We came for the Winter Carnival, so it wasn't super busy, but we wanted to be in middle of the action. The whole town is walkable from here. Great views from the lake view rooms and the restaurants. The staff was super friendly and really make you feel like family. Definitely felt like you slipped back in time but with WiFi and cable TV. They have 3 levels of rooms the lowest is in a separate building next to the main one. It has a real motel vibe but with the best view in town. The next level is connected to the main building and is perfect for eating in the 2 restaurants or going for a swim in the indoor pool when it's cold outside. It definitely made our decision easy on where to have breakfast everyday before we bundled up to walk in the snow. The hotel is right next to the fort which is nice if you're s history buff but the fort regularly sets off a cannon and a musket. So not sure how quiet it would be in the summer. I would definitely come here again.
