EA HOTEL JULIS DOES NOT HAVE A POOL. I left my 5 day stay at EA Hotel Juliš after the first day due to the dishonesty, gaslighting of the staff and general poor quality of the hotel. They advertise a pool but don't have one. They list it as an amenity even though it's not in their hotel and you pay 10 euros if you go there and it is only available for two hours in the evening. UPDATE: At the time of writing this, the pool (that they don't have) is now closed for renovations. There are dates for the pool closure, but it also says that dates may change. Of course, their main picture for the hotel is the beautiful pool, TTDH.
The staff are rude and don't have customer service skills. There were other issues. My safe didn't work. They said they'd fix it but didn't. It's an old building but without the charm of most old buildings in Prague. The duvet was tiny for the size of the bed. Staying at EA Hotel Juliš was an unpleasant experience to put it mildly. That's why I left 3 days early knowing a refund was highly unlikely.
The manager even bragged that they list it as an amenity and show pictures of the pool, but when you receive the agreement, there is no mention of the pool. Other guests shared they Hotel Juliš does this for other amenities too. This hotel and especially the manager are as unethical as they come.
Please note: It should be obvious, but I wish to state that I added the red text stating that the pool is not part of the hotel in the...
Read moreThis hotel is not a 4 star hotel. The rooms have been retrofitted from what I can see. Include breakfast is alright but not a standout. The gym and pool are extra charge/fee ( I suspect both owned by gym) and are used by external patrons. The beds are hard/firm. Its centrally located and means you can save on transport costs.
Issues: *Frontdesk - took a few requests just to get another blanket/dovet out of front desk *Air conditioner - not working in the room and just pumping air around. It was on max when we got the room. Clearly known issue and seeing other comments below. *Bulbs - blown bulb in the room, after the above and see other maintenance issues didn't want to waste our time with front desk. *Hallway - No sound proofing in the hall way with end room doors next each other. Be prepared to be woken up in the middle of night by what sounds like some one trying to get into your room, but actually trying to get into their own room. *Noise - Besides the hallway we had noise come up from cafe in the morning as well. *Elevator - There are two elevators, one for front rooms and front desk and second for all back rooms, gym, cafe and pool. This elevator is constantly busy and expect long wait times. No stairs option...
Read moreA star for location, and a star for price. How this hotel has gotten a 4-star rating, is above my comprehension. The hotel has holes in the wall (sixth floor), a really uninviting breakfast (for 2 of 3 days, 2 of the three juices in the dispenser were out of order). It may be that locals have the breakfast that is served, but pasta with some sauce, and bits of black olives scattered around on it?!? The same olives were scattered over the thinly sliced yellow cheese. The one day, when bacon was served, it contained undisclosed, but clearly visible pieces of sausage. Half of the toaster has lost the ability to pop-up. Also, we were expecting the rooms to be cleaned, when using the 'please make up room'-hangers to put on the door handle. Nothing happened, so I had to go to the reception (and wait for 15 minutes while they checked in ONE guest), and ask for fresh towels. The bathroom showers are too short, for an adult male of 186 cm.'s to wash his hair. The shower hose is just too short. Besides from that, the beds are hard and the AC is noisy as hell. Also there is next to no light in the change room of the pool (at least for the men). So stay there for the location and the price. Skip the breakfast. And...
