U Zlaté pšenice — Restaurant in Prague

The atmosphere can be misleading as the real disappointment came when our food arrived. When we politely brought up our concerns to the manager, expecting at least an apology or offer to remake the dishes, we were met with hostility. The manager was defensive from the outset, insisting that the food was prepared correctly and accusing us of being overly picky. They outright refused to exchange our meal or offer any form of compensation, leaving us with no choice but to pay for a meal we couldn't enjoy. Furthermore, throughout the interaction, the manager's demeanor was rude and dismissive. They made no effort to resolve the situation amicably. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority. My experience at this resturant was marred by both the poor quality of the food and the manager's unprofessional behavior. Went for a some lunch, sat outside under the canopy, had a beer and pasta, the food tasted great. However the service was quite slow and we needed to call them over to order and pay the bill. The waiters also seemed quite moody and didn't put much effort in. Therefore i didn't feel a tip had been earnt. We then went to pay, and they said if we wanted to split the bill we'd have to go inside the restaurant. We followed them in, and was provided with a card machine and prompted to tip. When I stated I did not want to tip, I was then asked why, I therefore stated the above. I was laughed at and told "well don't come back then", I believe this was the supervisor as it wasn't who had served us. I felt this was very rude and not a good way to treat customers who provide constructive criticism. Food was tasty enough, drinks were fine. I do have to significantly complain about how pushy the service was to get us to buy things. As soon as you enter the hostess follows you to get you to take a shot and charges $6 a piece for it even though they make it seem like an appetif, fair enough. We were able to sit with the menu for no more than a minute or two each time without someone asking us to order. They heavily pushed a tip, saying “us 15% percent tip good for today” like my goodness that’s predatory. Generally it’s overpriced, but I understand based on the location.
