Historic Centre Apartments VIII — Hotel in Prague

The location in the Old Town close to the Charles bridge is awesome, as already stated below many times. The decoration of the bathroom is nice. The price is ok.||||The apartment was dirty. I did not expect much, given a low price, but the apartment had to be at least clean. As I checked-in, I revealed that there were some crumbs and even someone's hair on the floor both of the kitchen and the bathroom as well as on the chair and around the microwave. The chambermaids are through with their work at 3 so first the staff was about just to leave me with all that. I asked for vacuuming the place but that did not help much either. On the second day, after I had asked the staff for cleaning the floor for the second time, nothing changed. I had to realize, that cleanliness is unfortunately not the strong point here, and to stay with all these crumbs. ||Moreover, the using of the washing machine was impossible. The machine was locked and had water drops on the glass. After I opened the glass it became obvious why the machine had been locked: there was mold on the rubber inside, so I had to close the machine quickly. ||The breakfast was poor. I am not a choosey person but, for example, the juice could not be called a juice and seemed to be the cheapest one in the city. ||There is no lift, and the staff does not help with the luggage. The reception is located on the first floor of the Ritchie Hostel where you have to pass through a weird shop, so I had first to carry my case to that first floor at checking in. The man at the reception presented then my apartment on the second floor in the building in the opposite side. I travelled alone, and my pregnancy was quite obvious, but whatever, I had to carry the case down and then two floors upstairs on my own. 4 Lads all aged 20 went for a few days away for obvious reasons to visit Prague. Never been before and loved to place and the accommodation. We paid an extra £25 for the Premium room for the extra bed so we weren't sharing which was definitely a great decision. The description said 4-Floor Apartment which we weren't sure whether that meant 4th Floor apartment or 4 floors to the apartment. Turned out it was on the 4th floor but had two stories with the bedrooms being upstairs. Not brilliant having to walk to the top floor after a skin full but adds to the fun! Absolutely brilliant accommodation though, clean and tidy on entry with clean bedding, towels and comfy beds! Kitchen had the basic requirements for living with washing machine and iron - could not complain with the cutlery, glasses, mugs etc. fully equipped!||The staff spoke English and were very helpful! Unfortunately the breakfast was a little disappointing but couldn't really complain as it was held in the Hostel over the road!||The location of the apartments is fantastic, short walk to anywhere you want to go! Stayed as a group of 5 lads on a stag weekend for 3 nights - first ever visit to Prague.||We opted for the top floor "attic" apartment, which is essentially a lower floor with landing, sofa bed, kitchen and bathroom then up a spiral staircase to another two single beds and a double bed.||The place was very clean, had all the amenities expected and served as a perfect base for exploring around Old Town. Ample places to eat, drink and explore on the doorstep.||The reception and staff were excellent throughout and very helpful, offering in advance via email to help us organize transport or trips (often which were cheaper than what we found when we got there).||The only faults I could find were that it was a long walk up to the top floor sometimes and also when we stayed it was 29/30c heat and only two fans in the apartment - even with the windows open it could be very warm so maybe one more fan would have helped... but it certainly would not stop us staying again and when we return we will be more than happy to stay here again!||||Great value for money and great little find, we would recommend for families, groups of friends or those looking for a great...
